We heard awhile back that developers were going to have the option of using the 3DS' second CPU for more power in-game rather than for performing background services. Usually when a game doesn't allow you a connection to your friends list or other activities like that, you can guess that the second CPU is being used for the game itself.
That's why Resident Evil: Revelations could be the first third party game to make use of the second CPU in that way. It's not confirmed by any means, but the same signs that were in Ocarina of Time 3D are present here.
