I've made Chocolate cake, but instead of real chocolate, I used hot chocolate mix.
Oh my god, with vanilla frosting, it was the best cake I've ever made.

pies are infinitely better than cakes because they actually have real fruit n' shit in them, whereas cakes are just fluffy sugar

Depends on the cake you get. Some cakes actually have chunks of Fruit in them;

Funny you mention strawberries, Crump. The cake i used in the banner is from Paper Mario, and I had to remove the strawberry.
