I hate all the "generic" anime. Stuff like Gurren Lagann (generic mecha anime but with ridiculous amounts of MANLY and AWESOME), Akagi (a guy plays mahjong and mindrapes/indirectly mutilates people when he wins because of what the bets are), and Evangelion (goes out of its way to not be a generic upbeat happy cheerful mecha anime, instead being depressing) are cool, though

I hate how anime characters tend to make exaggerated gasps or noises when stuff happens; this is especially prevalent in Pokemon
