The Indie Games Summer Uprising promotes the ten hottest (Get it?) games in Xbox Live's Indie Games collection - eight of those titles are chosen by developers and the XBLIG team, but two of them are up for a fan vote. This year, community voting runs August 1-15, via a link on the Indie Games Summer Uprising Facebook page.

There is no word yet on the titles in the promotion or up for debate, but the Uprising Twitter account says a "very promising lineup" will be revealed soon. Winning titles will be announced on the same Twitter account on August 16 at 9 p.m. EST, using the hashtag "#IGSU."

The Summer Uprising promotion will run on XBLIG from August 22-September 2.
