A portion a a Gamasutra interview with Tantalus CEO Tom Crago...

GS: What be yer thoughts on the Wii U, after working on it extensively?

TC: We have a long history a working with Nintendo platforms. 'n we really like the Wii U. Right now we have three titles in development, two a which will ship in the launch window. Obviously it be a tense time right now, as Nintendo iron out the final wrinkles before launch, but the experience for us t' date has been very positive.

it be a powerful machine, easy t' work with, 'n we genuinely feel as though the GamePad enhances the experience, especially on games like Mass Effect. The fact be, when ye play Mass Effect 3 on Wii U, ye'll be using that controller in a very different way t' how ye might have played the game on PS3 or 360.

The challenge for us, a course, be t' make that control experience better 'n more intuitive. I be confident we've done that. The fact that ye can play the whole game on the GamePad be pretty cool too.

GS: How did ye end up doing so many Wii U titles?

TC: it be funny the way these things work out. Obviously we pursued the Mass Effect opportunity extremely aggressively. Once we signed that deal 'n started working on that game, we became pretty immersed in everything Wii U. We had a couple a other projects on the go, but ME3 be really the focus. 'n naturally, ye're playing around with the hardware 'n ye start t' think about other ideas ye have that might lend themselves t' the console.

So we decided t' put a bit a our own money into bringing something original t' Wii U. That game, Funky Barn, has just been announced 'n will ship with 505 in the launch window. More recently Straight Right signed another deal for a Wii U title. it be another big one, 'n will ship in 2013. I expect it will be announced later this year.
