Super Mario Bros. 2 is one of my favorite Mario games. That might be a funny thing to say, considering how that Mario game didn't even start our with Mario and friends! Still, it holds a special place in my heart, and this E3 it seems like Nintendo is finally embracing that outing once again. Both Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze and Super Mario 3D World borrow from the NES classic, and they're better games for it.
