It's lost a lot of the little things that made it good, especially creating. Like no grid, no music player, no placing stickers on sackboy, and you know how if you wanted to make a donut-like shape you'd just make a circle, then shrink the circle brush thing, then press triangle and cut away some. You'd then have a donut. However, you can only have two brush/cut away shapes, a circle and a square, and you can't adjust their size. I hope you like the corner editor, 'cause you need it to make your own shapes. Graphics are good. Music is good. Bad things in play mode are no multiplayer, no online (for me ):), no pod (you have to use a menu), and only two layers.
I'd enjoy it if they ported all the new content to the PS3 version as DLC. The PSP version is just a watered-down PS3 version but with a bit of new content.
Meh, I think it is good for what it is. Especially since you can download other peoples' levels and play them anywhere.
I'm also one of the few people who really like the platforming.
The fact that you can play it anywhere is definitely an advantage over the PS3 version. But it's kind of watered down, it seems, so it might not be universally better for everyone.
OP your description of the PSP game makes it look like shit compared to the PS3 one
But portable shit. So it's sort of OK.

That is how hard it is to create custom shapes in LBPPSP. LBP did making shapes very well. ):
