I've watched horror movies before
I've played Resident Evils 2 & 4
I've seen Giygas(many times)
I've suffered re-occuring nightmares for 2 years.(because of watching a paranormal show and I ain't talking about Ghost Hunters, Ghost Adventures, etc. I'm talking about "A Haunting".)(and don't worry, the nightmares are gone)and for some reason...I was forced to stay up late everynight until 1:00 AM for some reason until the nightmares went away..(for some reason, if it was 1:00 AM, the nightmares couldn't harm me..)
I enjoy the Halloween movie series(original movies, refuse to watch Halloween III)
I'm worried this game might contain Satanatism(heard you can find pentagrams in one of the Silent Hill games..)
I'm getting ready to watch Jacob's Ladder(when Netflix sends it..)
I've seen screamers before..
I've played the Scary Maze game(barely scared me.)
I've suffered various childhood trauma(birthmother neglected me when I was a infant..,she tryed to take me back.. and afterwards, I couldn't talk again until I was 3..,saw my first piece of pornography at 5(by accident..), one of my ears was accidently cut off when I was at a hair salon once...(when I was I guess...2),and then nightmare stuff I mentioned above, saw The Shining when I was 12(the rotting old lady scared me and scarred me for life...I'll never look at old women naked..),I looked when in my gecko's cage(happened recently, may not count as childhood trauma, but it's still trauma.)once and there was a rotting cricket carcass with maggots eating it...(Don't worry my gecko's fine.),I saw 2 of the Resident Evil movies when I was 12..)
I can take listening to supense music..
Will I be ready for Silent Hill?
Well my first R-rated movie was M*A*S*H*
My parent introduced me to R-rated movies when I was 12, same thing with PG-13 movies when I was 10.
I played my first M-rated game(Resident Evil 4) this year and I'm 14.
Pffft, wuss. Your parents showed you that crap so you wouldn't be a wimp.
I'm just worried if the game may contain Satantism because most of the history of the town revolves around a cult and I've heard Pentagrams can be found in one of the Silent Hill games.
@MeowMixer:
I hate them as much as furries except I hate satanists because they sacrifice animals for a non-God related reason.
I hate all cults(excluding the fictional Happy Happy Cult from EarthBound.)
lol your religous
NO.
I'm worried that the game may contain Satanism...
With that cult and everything...
I'm just hoping Silent Hill isn't religiously offending..
stop
spacing
your
posts
so
much
Stop being a pussy.
If you need to ask yourself if you're ready to play it, you're not.
posting in epic thread
Well I'm going to watch that movie "Jacob's Ladder"..
Hopefully it will prepare me.
Well since there are pentagrams in Silent Hill...
Are they the upside-down Satanic ones or
the normal ones?
That won't be me..
Trust me, I won't be that crazy over Silent Hill.
My view of Silent Hill now is more less paranoid..
I'll be able to handle the blood and gore,I'll might be able to handle the pentagrams..
and as for the horror...
If I like Jacob's Ladder, I'll be more ready for the horror..
I'm probably going with Silent Hill 2..
If I like Silent Hill 2, I'll probably also do Silent Hill 1,3 and I say....maybe the room.
@hawkofrawk:
What is possibly wrong with me spacing between my posts?
It's something I do on forums that's all...
GOD Why do people always ask questions about me spacing between posts?
It's annoying for me to have to deal with people asking me why I space between posts.
well, if youse hate religion then i got a religion for you thats better!
: Tacos!
it makes sense! tacos were created by mexicans which are on mexico which are on one giant taco!
all you have to do to be in this religion is: like tacos!
First off, The Silent Hill games are no "umg we r staunists and stuf lol" games, they actually are pretty heavy allegorically, so yes, despite there being massive degredation of religions (Mostly Christianity), the games are actually quality thinking pieces. And I also wouldn't suggest playing past 3, 4 and on and all severly mediocre games.
These games are not your cheap UMG ZOMBIE POPS OUT OF NOWHERE game, most of the 'scary' material is psychological, if anything. But yeah, you're going to get a HUGE cult aspect out of 1 & 3, but not so much out of 2.
Thanks, White Shy Guy...
I may consider playing Silent Hill when I am 18..(4 more years to go..)
I'm still interested in it...I like most of the music from Silent Hill 2's OST.
Since you said "most of the 'scary' material is psychological", I guess that's why some people say Jacob's Ladder inspired Silent Hill.
