next step is to have the govt monitor all your online activity to make sure you aren't violating any copyrights. Warrants? don't need 'em. Evidence? meh. Innocence before proven guilty? no longer applies.

Whenever controversial stuff like this has happened in the past, there's always been at least a few people that insist that everyone's overreacting. But from what I've seen in this case, absolutely everyone (aside from the music companies and government) is agreeing that this law is a bad thing.
And I live in the UK, so I have reason to keep an eye on the subject.
