Hi everyone,

We’re building up some momentum in 2011 with our second PlayStation Plus publish of the year, offering three featured games along with a handful of discounts on PlayStation Network exclusive titles – all coming to you on February 1. Mix in an automatic download that gives early access to an upcoming PSN-exclusive, and this update is sure to have something for everyone.

Kicking off this PlayStation Plus update with an auto download of a demo of Tales from Space: About a Blob, PlayStation Plus subscribers will be getting the first look. This upcoming PlayStation Network game developed by DrinkBox Studios follows a race of alien Blobs that encounter a foreign plant that is looking to devour everything. As a reminder, PlayStation Plus subscribers can turn on the Automatic Download feature under “System Settings” on the XMB. This feature will update your PS3 with firmware updates, patches to recently played games and other select videos or game demos.

In addition to the early access to Tales from Space: About a Blob, we are also discounting several PlayStation Network exclusives. PlayStation Plus subscribers will receive 50% discounts off both versions of Fat Princess, the comical, multiplayer brawler. After storming the castle with your friends, be sure to download Kung-Fu LIVE for 20% off. You too can join Jeff and Rey as you show off your Kung Fu skills with this new PlayStation Eye game. PlayStation Plus subscribers will also be able to download a full game trial of Assassin’s Creed II Deluxe Edition, which includes the two DLC sequences (Battle for Forli and Bonfire of the Vanities).

Finally, we are also offering three featured games on the next PlayStation Plus publish, including the updated classic Digger HD from Creat Studios; the new mini from StormBASIC Games, Karimogi; and Spyro 2: Ripto’s Rage, a great follow up to our previous featured title, Spyro the Dragon.

Hello hello! Another week, another nice comic update, with 51 for you this week.

I’m very pleased to announce the return of the great Cancertown: An Inconvenient Tooth, now published by Markosia. Vince Morley is a man with big problems and a brain tumor like a baby’s fist; living with one foot in a monstrous alternate world he calls Cancertown. When the lost and dispossessed of London start tripping over the same cracks in reality he spends his life avoiding, Morely realises he must confront the residents of Cancertown – and risk finding his place among them. Featuring a great audio commentary from writer Cy Dethan and artist Stephen Downey… and the first issue is FREE! Make sure you check this one out.

Batman Beyond Vol.1 also starts this week. This 6-issue miniseries based on the fan-favorite “Batman Beyond” animated series begins with a 2-part story revealing the destiny of Bruce Wayne and the origin of his successor!

The on-going Transformers series continues with Transformers #14. Two Autobots felled in the past two issues and the punishment is only beginning! A shocking revelation and an unexpected attack begins the “REVENGE OF THE DECEPTICONS,” the storyline that leaves a lot more Autobots on the operating table.

Qore kicks off the New Year with a look back at 2010 in our ‘Year in Review’ featuring the best moments from the team’s travels covering the biggest games of the year.

As for 2011, LittleBigPlanet 2’s level design tools are exposed when Veronica Belmont scrolls along with one of the LBP community’s most prolific level designers, Sean Crowley. Follow along as Sean reveals his tips for creating in the new game and unveils one of his latest creations.

In the world of MMOs, DC Universe Online is a title the Qore team’s been keeping an eye on since first covering the initial development in 2008. Sony Online Entertainment Game Director, Chris Cao takes us through this huge world where you design your own super hero– then decide to fight along side DC legends like Superman or take ‘em on as the bad guys.

Also, Commander Shepard is making his debut on the PS3 system in Mass Effect 2, the epic action role-playing game from Bioware. Get up to speed on this fantastic shooter/RPG hybrid and don’t miss the gallery of concept art and screenshots to get you prepared for the upcoming release.

Hi everyone,

After nearly six months, we continue to see PlayStation Plus grow and deliver compelling content for PlayStation gamers. Over these past six months, we have seen some great content introduced — from the DC Universe Online beta to the NHL GameCenter LIVE Application — that is expanding the offerings for all subscribers. Now we are looking to continue that trend through 2011 with new offerings.

In the first week of 2011, we are publishing three featured games, giving gamers a look at a classic, a throwback from 2010, and an exclusive mini from an indie developer. First, we’ll be taking gamers back to Insomniac’s second game ever developed for the PSone, Spyro the Dragon. Take part in the first iteration of a classic franchise with a free download of the PSone classic. Also, we’ll be offering a free download of Lead & Gold: Gangs of the Wild West, a third person multiplayer shooter set in the wild west. Finally, we’ll be offering Pipe Madness, a minis title developed by The Bearded Ladies Consulting (known for Landit Bandit), exclusive to PlayStation Plus subscribers for two weeks.

Also, for those looking for that special gift for your gamer friends and family, we are still offering our promotion giving full year subscribers an extra three months of PlayStation Plus. This is a great gift that will continue to give throughout the year.

Finally, a quick reminder to pick up content that we will be removing content from the PlayStation Plus storefront, including the DC Universe Online Beta and sales on Sonic 4 Episode 1 and Dead Nation. Be sure to see the full list below and download the items before they are removed.

Hi everyone!

Welcome to the last update of the year for PlayStation Store Comics, and boy is it a big one! We have 82 new comics to keep you busy over the festive period. Plus we have some rather exciting news; we finally have a Manga publisher on board. You’ve probably heard of TOKYOPOP, they were apparently responsible for introducing the term manga to the English language. They have a catalog of over 3000 books and have worked on creating manga versions of major brands like Star Trek all the way through to SpongeBob SquarePants.

So without further ado, let’s look at this week’s highlights

From TOKYOPOP, who ya gonna call? GHOSTBUSTERS, of course! Find out what’s been happening since the Ghostbusters last saved New York City as Peter, Ray, Egon, Winston and the rest of the gang make their first manga appearance!

Based on one of the most popular fantasy films of all time, Legends of The Dark Crystal is a manga prequel set hundreds of years before the events of the film, when the gentle Gelflings and wise Mystics are still thriving. And so, unfortunately, are the evil Skeksis.

Halloween has always been and always will be about one thing…getting the best CANDY. Some fiendish friends excel at tricks if they don’t get the right treats. Follow what happens in I Luv Halloween when these gremlins receive a frickin’ apple at their first house of the night, they plan deadly revenge on the offending fruit-favoring old-timer.

Going where no manga has gone before, check out Star Trek: The Manga which is set in the original series.

The highlight from Marvel this week must be Tron: Original Movie Adaptation. It’s a stunning new visualization of the original TRON film. Learn the secrets of the Tron Universe. Discover its cast of dynamic characters. Witness the events of the legendary film in an all-new comic event.

Finally, from BOOM! comes an adaption of one of my favorite books, Philip K. Dick’s Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? I believe someone made a film about it too…

We honestly don't even know where to begin with this week's PSN update -- it's like staring down the business end of a five-foot Philly cheesesteak. There are demos for Dead Space 2, Mass Effect 2 and LittleBigPlanet 2. Not interested in demos? Well, there's RISK: Factions and Echochrome 2 for PS3 and Valkyria Chronicles 2 for super cheap on PSP.
