On Tuesday, a trio of Killswitch Engage tracks will be available for download in Rock Band, which should help even out the game's ratio of singers to guys who scream a bunch.

The Rock Band Music Store will feature two tracks from Foster the People next week, but neither is the one you're thinking of. "Helena Beat" and "Don't Stop (Color on the Walls)" will be available as DLC next week, while the band's hit track, "Pumped Up Kicks," will be available as part of Rock Band Blitz in August.

Next week's Rock Band 3 DLC is a bit on the eclectic side, catering to rock fans and ... people who like The B-52s.

Daughtry, while relatively new in the music scene, has garnered multiple Grammy nominations and has four hit singles. Now the ultimate milestone: being featured as Rock Band DLC.

In honor of Independence Day, next week's Rock Band DLC features a band with "All-American" in the name! And ... some other stuff that makes that seem more like a coincidence than an Independence Day observation!

Karaoke nights may start with the heartbroken ballads of Adele, but once the Chablis flows like the Seine, it's time for Carrie Underwood's "Before He Cheats" to enter rotation. Next week's Rock Band DLC includes three feisty tracks from the country artist.

This week brought only a single song to Rock Band, Incubus's "Drive." Next week, Harmonix takes the opposite approach, with a random grab bag of tracks from three different bands. You're statistically more likely to find something you like there!

Incubus gets the stage all to itself for next week's Rock Band DLC and they've only brought one song to play: "Drive." The track joins "Adolescents," "Dig," and "Wish You Were Here," which are already available to download.

This week, Rock Band brings us not only Florence, but also The Machine. Specifically, we get Florence and the Machine's popular jam "Dog Days Are Over." In addition to Florence's mechanical musings, we also get Cracker's "Teen Angst (What the World Needs Now) and Midnight Oil's "The Power and the Passion."

Cracker's track offers pro bass and guitar expansions, and both the Florence and the Machine and Midnight Oil tracks support the Rock Band 3 keyboard.

A "Bullet For My Valentine" may sound like a really terrible gift for anyone that doesn't collect antique minié balls, but it's actually the name of next week's featured band over in Rock Band DLC world.

The aptly named "Bullet For My Valentine Pack 01" features three songs spanning three albums, including 2008's Scream Aim Fire, which we're not entirely sure is an accurate or trustworthy set of instructions for properly operating a firearm. Remember kids, always consult your physician before taking advice from Welch heavy metal bands.

The "Maiden Epics" pack of Iron Maiden tunes coming to Rock Band next week has things that sound like they wouldn't be metal, but are, in fact, totally metal.

Like "Rime of the Ancient Mariner." Sounds like some old epic poem, right? Well, it is epic in that sense, as well as in the sense of being thirteen minutes long.

So much rage! How much rage? Over 9000! What? OVER 9000! That's how much raging against machines there is in next week's Rock Band DLC. Tracks include classic rage like "Bombtrack" and "Killing in the Name," which even if you think you've never heard these songs before, the minute it starts you'll be all "I do know that!"

Whether you're old enough to remember when Cinderella was on the radio or you discovered the band during a Google search for the Disney film, a trio of tracks from the '80s hair band will debut in Rock Band 3 this Tuesday on Xbox 360, PS3 and Nintendo Wii.

"Nobody's Fool," from Cinderella's debut album Night Songs, is joined by two others: "Don't Know What You Got (Till It's Gone)," the band's most successful tune to date, and "Shelter Me," a single from 1990's Heartbreak Station.

Next week's Rock Band DLC features four tracks from pop-rock artist P!nk. "Get the Party Started" comes off her Missundaztood album, while the other three songs are from her Grammy-nominated Funhouse album. Also, "Please Don't Leave Me" takes on quite a different tone when sung by a guy instead of a girl.

Harmonix has been teasing for what feels like pretty much the last nine months that there are new games in the works at the studio, including stuff related to the Rock Band franchise. Of course, whenever asked, studio PR flack and all-around nice guy John Tiberius Drake was usually quick to make it clear that this would not be a full-blown sequel to Rock Band 3, but rather, something else.

Hey Drake, are we allowed to at least post this logo? Let me know when you get a chance.

That something else turned out to be Rock Band Blitz, an Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network title scheduled for release this summer. The game can probably be most closely compared to Rock Band Unplugged, a PSP title from a few years back that featured on-the-fly instrument switching and was played with buttons, as opposed to plastic instruments you'd plug into your PSP. Because that would just be stupid.

That game had its roots in some early Harmonix music games, namely the beloved PlayStation 2 games Frequency and Amplitude. The look of Rock Band Blitz definitely seems like a hearkening back to the chaotic yet cool visual style of those games.

The most intriguing detail of Rock Band Blitz is that it uses your existing Rock Band music library. The game comes with 25 songs of its own, including the likes of Rick Springfield's "Jesse's Girl," Quiet Riot's "Bang Your Head," and Foster the People's "Pumped Up Kicks." Those songs will join whatever Rock Band proper songs you have previously downloaded as playable tracks in the game, and once you have Blitz downloaded, the 25 exclusive songs will work as playable tracks in Rock Band 3.

We have a few screenshots and a trailer for Rock Band Blitz just sitting around, waiting to be posted, but tragically we cannot do so until tomorrow afternoon. So take solace instead from this below clip of the game being announced on X-Play, and marvel at Eric Pope's delicious mutton chops as he plays through a couple of tracks.

Time to get those goth-rock glamour gowns out of storage, because next week's Rock Band DLC features the emotional tunes of Evanescence. Vocalists should be prepared to warm up at least 15-20 minutes before attempting any type of Amy Lee belting.

Next week's Rock Band DLC tracks come from a land down under. So, go ahead and make yourself a Vegemite sandwich and play Men At Work's classic tracks: "Down Under" and "Overkill." You also get Santana's "Smooth"... you know, the one with Matchbox 20's Rob Thomas.

Rock Band Weekly has been in our lives for over four years and the beat will go on. Harmonix told us at GDC 2012 that it has no plans on stopping the weekly release of downloadable tracks for the Rock Band platform.

"We've been really pleased with the continued performance of Rock Band downloadable content. We've delivered over four years of weekly DLC and over 3500 songs for the music platform, and we have no plans to stop weekly releases any time soon," Harmonix emcee of communications John Drake told Joystiq. "Fans can tell us what songs they want by visiting our new Rock Band Dashboard Facebook App and voting for their favorite artists using the built-in Wishlist feature."

Harmonix has no intentions of launching Rock Band 4 this year. The company is currently working on several projects, which can be derived from job postings on the developer's site, including some kind of downloadable title.

Next week's Rock Band DLC tracks are thematically about as disparate as it gets. Featuring songs from rock band Everclear, metal band Mastodon and... um, whatever Good Charlotte was. Pop alternative rock? Anyway, they'll all be available next week.

There are few bands who encapsulate the '80s sound quite like Huey Lewis and the News. Not only were they the inspiration for a terrifying American Psycho monologue, but the band is also known to break into your home and sing to you while you're sleeping.

Tuesday is Valentine's Day, and in addition to being a day full of expectations and guilt, it's now a day where you can be rick-rolled by a damn video game in the sanctity of your own home. The "Gold Star My Heart" Pack drops Tuesday in North America and Wednesday for European PS3 users, and includes four love-centric tracks to get you into (or very quickly out of) the mood.

Peep the full track list after the break, and see if you're the kind of person who'd rather be playing Rock Band 3 on Valentine's Day. (Please invite us.)

It would be hard to find two more disparate musical acts to combine into one blast of DLC, seeing how The Edgar Winter Group did everything it could to broaden the horizons of rock music, while Korn has done everything it can to narrow them back down.

This week's update includes two iconic singles from both bands, one of which will be a blast from the past for anyone familiar with Harmonix's back catalogue. Both Edgar Winter Group tracks support keyboards, as one would hope.

Oh, oh here they come, watch out boy, Hall and Oates will chew you up! For those unfamiliar with Hall and Oates, also known as Hall & Oates, they were a "rock and soul" duo that ruled the charts of the early '80s. Three of their best tracks are available as Rock Band DLC next week.
