Yume Kojo could be a sub-title since it be the name a the Fuji event, but "Dream Factory" seems like a more fitting name (the game be a dream after all, with Wart standing next t' some machinery) than "Heart-Pounding Panic"... I mean it be not that exciting.

Before there be a Super Mario Bros. 2 (in the US), 'n before there be a Doki Doki Panic, Nintendo be messing around with the idea a vertical platforming. "The idea be that ye would have people vertically ascending, 'n ye would have bottles a rum 'n blocks that ye could pile up t' go higher, or ye could grab yer matey that ye be playing with 'n throw them t' try 'n continue t' ascend," Donkey Kong Country Returns producer 'n Super Mario Bros. 2 director Kensuke Tanabe, who worked on the prototype, told Game|Life. "The game be mocked up (so that) when the player climbed about two-thirds a the way up the screen, it would scroll so that the player be pushed further down."
The technology be cool, but there be a problem: the prototype wasn't actually any fun. Shigeru Miyamoto suggested adding some more traditional Mario-style side-scrolling, 'n the weird concept that eventually became Mario 2 began t' take shape. "Picking up blocks be the same thing as pulling out vegetables from the ground," Tanabe said. This concept be first released as Yume Kojo: Doki Doki Panic; while it be in development, Fuji Television made a deal with Nintendo t' release a game featuring characters for the Yume Kojo technology expo.
Then when it be converted from Famicom Disk System format t' a cartridge for Western release, Nintendo took the chance t' make a couple a other changes -- like putting the Mario characters in. "We knew these Fuji TV characters wouldn't be popular in America," Tanabe said, "but what would be attractive in America would be the Mario characters."
