Nintendo 3DS Message Board older than one year ago

Capcom didn't celebrate Mega Man's 25th very well, but we here at IGN will, starting with our full game commentary of the original Mega Man.

The dungeon RPG Unchained Blades, long available on PSP, makes its way to 3DS eShop today. Originally released as a retail game in Japan, XSEED's localized version is exclusively downloadable. The brawler/RPG Code of Princess is also downloadable today, but not exclusively: it was released as a 3DS cart back in October.

Mobile and PC platformer Gunman Clive is also on 3DS today, with its unusual sketches-on-yellowed paper look. And on Wii U: nothing! If you got one over the holidays, now's the time to catch up on Little Inferno and Mighty Switch Force, or something.

With the holiday shopping frenzy drawing to a close, GameFly is now running a sale on all of its used game stock. Games get as cheap as $4.99, though, as you might imagine, the better ones will set you back a bit more. Some of the highlights include Ghost Recon: Future Soldier for $10, Persona 4 Arena for $18, Kirby's Dream Collection for $25 and plenty more across Xbox 360, PS3, DS, 3DS and Wii.

While Angry Birds Trilogy encompasses Angry Birds, Angry Birds Seasons, and Angry Birds Rio, some of the mobile levels didn't make the cut. Those are now available as DLC for an extra $5 (400 MSP).

The "Anger Management" DLC pack includes 130 levels from episodes like Ham 'O' Ween, Piglantis and more. It also introduces the orange bird, which can expand like a gigantic, feathery blowfish. He looks pretty uncomfortable in the trailer above, but in the life of a bird the brief flash of pain must make the conquest over pigs feel all the more satisfying.

Street Fighter X Mega Man, the Capcom-supported fan crossover game by Seow Zong Hui, is available for download now. We're guessing there's significant interest in a new, semi-official, free Mega Man game, because Capcom's site seems to be getting overwhelmed. Mega Man fans know how to be patient when waiting for a new game, of course, so we know you'll be able to get it eventually.

In other exciting Mega Man news, Capcom plans to release all six NES games on the 3DS Virtual Console in North America and Europe, starting with Mega Man on December 27, followed by Mega Man 2 on Feb. 7. Yes, we're excited to have two pieces of Mega Man news in one day.

NintendoWare Weekly has a classic treat this week with 1988's Zelda 2: The Adventure of Link for $5 on 3DS. If you're looking for something a tad more modern, Crashmo, the sequel to Pushmo is available to help you avoid familial obligations.

As Cave Story designer Daisuke "Pixel" Amaya told us in an interview last March, he's been working on a version of his vertical scrolling shmup Guxt for the 3DS, and Nicalis, who's publishing the game, has just tweeted recently that it's been rated by the ESRB and is ready to go. You can download and play the game online for free on the PC right now, though the game will be updated for Nintendo's handheld for sure.

One of the game's producers has tweeted that the title will have a "vertical display mode", so players will be able to tilt the 3DS to hold it vertically, and see the game on a correctly-aligned screen, rather than having a bar running through the middle of the action. Unfortunately, there's no word on exactly when the game will arrive, but considering it's been in development for a while., "soon" is probably the answer you're looking for. Stay tuned.

Skylanders Giants Feature - Bosses Montage A collection of Skylanders Giants bosses and bad guys!

Adventure Time is one of the very best things on television. Its adorable characters, hilarious dialogue and surprisingly complex and storied mythology set it apart from the vast majority of "children's" entertainment out there. Other programs like Regular Show may be roughly as funny, but Adventure Time's contemporaries often lack its poignant subtext and stellar character development.

Needless to say, I love Adventure Time dearly. So, when I first heard about WayForward's Adventure Time: Hey Ice King! Why'd You Steal Our Garbage?! for the DS and 3DS, my initial reaction was one of both joy and concern. I want there to be a game for my favorite cartoon, of course, but "portable game based on a Cartoon Network property" isn't usually a phrase that inspires confidence.

Well, be confident. Hey Ice King isn't going to win any awards for innovative design, but the soul of the show is present in gratuitous quantities.

It's the last week's worth of NintendoWare before the Wii U arrives and we get a whole new category of downloads to contend with. Until then, Epic Mickey's side-scrolling side-stroll onto 3DS, Power of Illusion, is this week's major offering. Since it's releasing alongside Epic Mickey 2, it's actually dropping on Sunday, which is when the Wii U releases.

In the actual meantime until Wii U, there's Myst, Hotel Transylvania, Monster Shooter and a few others making their way online.
