A portion of a C3 review...

With Project Aces’ first foray onto the 3DS comes a build that, despite a few engine hiccups, manages to provide more than its fair share of entertainment value, albeit as a sole skycrawler instead of a squadron force. The 3D effect complements the game wonderfully, as do the accompanying themes, and these together with the extra modes on offer ensure this one won’t rocket out of your 3DS for some time.

Absent a second analog stick, Ace Combat: Assault Horizon Legacy lives or dies by the maneuvers mechanic. And while it's by no means a perfect solution, it's really the most elegant one given the current limitations of the hardware. If you can accept this compromise, then you might find that Namco Bandai's latest flight shooter frequently provides exquisitely-crafted thrills in the skies helped along by a very solid execution of the game's 3D.

The speed, the style, and action are all fantastically engrossing. In terms of sheer thrills it's hard to imagine there's much like it on the 3DS.

A portion of a Nintendo-Okie review...

The lack of any multi-player options is a sad omission, but the single player dogfights will keep you engaged for the length of the campaign. If you’re in the mood for a good flight combat game then this would definitely be one that you should check out.
