A portion of a C3 review...

Since it is currently free to all DSi and 3DS owners on the Nintendo eShop right now, there is absolutely no reason for you not to own this. Grab it now before Nintendo start charging for it from February 20th next year!

So I was looking for some way to play Nintendo DS local multiplayer games online (maybe via an emulator or tunnel software like the old Warp Pipe for GameCube), so I could play Zelda Four Swords online.  Didn't find anything, but I did find this fan-game.  Anyone want to try it out with me?

Four Swords was such a chore before. Playing it as intended through its original release was a headache to set up, as you needed an avalanche of equipment to make it happen four Game Boy Advance systems, four copies of the Link to the Past/Four Swords cartridge, three GBA Link Cables and enough fri...

A portion of a Dtoid review...

Four Swords Anniversary Edition is a spectacular re-release packed to the brim with more content than most paid downloadable titles; that all of this is available for free is simply mind-blowing. The multiplayer is as deliciously evil as it ever was, but I just wish more tweaks were made to tailor the single-player mode for solo adventurers. If you are able to gather a group, however, you will have a blast.

A portion of a Modojo review...

What's Hot
Free, wireless four-person multiplayer, new single player mode, two new areas to explore, classic Zelda gameplay.

What's Not
Graphics remain unchanged, single player mode is a bit monotonous.

Nintendo's E3 2011 press conference certainly started off with a bang, as Shigeru Miyamoto (famous Nintendo developer and Zelda's daddy) unveiled the company's plans to celebrate the franchise's 25th Anniversary. One of the things he revealed was that a downloadable version of The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords would be coming to Nintendo's portable download service this September. The price? Absolutely free...
