- fixed an issue with multithreading on some CPUs (after playing for 5 minutes game would start to lag more and more)
- when selecting Browse Games you will now be prompted to select which region you are interested in, US or EU
- Browse Games will not show to you games where your level is higher than a maximum level of the game (basically do not show games for newbies, to which you are not able to join anyway)
- added sort for games in Browse Games
- updated store UI
- fixed an issue with stretched icons in store
- when creating a new game, friendly fire is now in OFF position by default
- updated reward icons in Rewards section of My Merc
- collision fixes

- improved occlusion culling, now when you turn around quickly you shouldn't see objects appear from thin air
- decals will now scale down depending on your effects quality settings
- fixed sliding when jumping on higher grounds
- fix for team rebalancing if one team completely left the game
- disable enemy tag showing if enemy is behind the wall

  • tactician skill change
  • HUD: show colorful weapon icon, rather than grey outline
  • HUD: changed friendly tag color to blue
  • HUD: improved readability of player tag names
  • UAV: added assist reward
  • UAV targeting: keeps target marked as long as it is in a view of UAV
  • UAV view: showing HUD now, so able to chat and see what is going on a map
  • enabled player team colors (each team has patches of red\blue on their armor now)
  • added sorting of items in store (up to 5 parameters for sorting including damage, fire rate, protection, price, etc)
  • Home: fixed "more..." buttons not working after pressing on them once
  • Armory: when you are modifying your loadout, you can press Esc to exit that screen and save your loadout right away.
  • Respawn: select closes spawn point to where you died
  • added more tips of the day
  • fixed a bug with skills in killed tag now showing proper skill icon
  • fixed a bug with grenades exploding in your hands if before that you died while throwing a grenade
  • sabotage: do not allow to arm/disarm bomb while throwing a grenade
  • crossroads: fixed battlezone near flag B

War Inc. Battlezone is proof that Atari don’t defend their trademarks well enough, and a free-to-play third-person shooter that has just this very day gone into beta. And the sort of beta that doesn’t even require faffing around with a registration email. You apply, then it lets you download the game. Well, download the downloader, which then downloads a more up-to-date downloader, which then downloads the game in such a way that the rest of your internet is useless for the duration, with no pause option. But then you can play it. And “it”, as its press release so sweetly describes it, is a “shooting game”.
