As fast and frantic as Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 is, its opening cinematic is awfully ... still. If it's too still for you to handle, you can find a non-shaky-cam trailer of the "Heroes vs Heralds" mode after the break. If it's not still enough, there are some new screenshots too.

#marvelvscapcom This past New York Comic-Con weekend apparently got picked as Mode Reveal Weekend in the Capcom corporate offices. We saw Gem Mode revealed in Street Fighter x Tekken on Friday and then got word of the Heroes and Heralds Mode in Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3. More »

If you want to feel as if you've been punched in the gut, Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom knows just the sweet spot to hit -- directly under the solar plexus. Or just watch this video of the free post-launch DLC coming to Ultimate MvC, "Heroes vs Heralds." A team of benevolent heroes fight against Galactus and his posse of evil using a new ability-card system to unlock new moves, such as projectile invincibility, invisibility, new combo chains and many more.

If you don't feel nauseated because of how awesome this video is, you'll definitely feel it from the shaky-cam action. But you should probably persevere until the end -- it's worth a little pain, trust us.

#marvelvscapcom If watching Seth Killian play with Phoenix Wright in my previous post didn't communicate how wacky the counselor is in the crossover fighting game, then take a look at the trailer shown at New York Comic-Con on Saturday. You'll see the reactions of attendees at the Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 panel to Phoenix's antics and that, combined with the surprisingly intricate structure of his moveset, might make him a secret weapon when the game hits this fall. #marvelvscapcom The biggest applause in the panels that Capcom held for their upcoming fighting games came for the introduction of the blue-suited hero of the Ace Attorney games. During the Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 panel, special consultant and fighting game expert Seth Killian talked about how the development team tried to make the unlikely placement of the barrister into a brawling game. They also wanted to make sure that Phoenix still felt like the hero who's earned a loyal following. I think they nailed it. Watch this video and you'll probably agree. More »

Our long-time hate for Capcom's fighting game bosses knows no bounds, but we're not above playing as one of the overpowered baddies ourselves to destroy friends. It looks like Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 will allow us to do just that, with Capcom strategy manager Seth Killian today revealing during New York Comic Con that Galactus will become playable in the upcoming Ultimate version of MvC3.

Rather than becoming a player in the main roster, Galactus will apparently be getting "his own little mode" in UMvC3. We'll be sure to track down Killian for more details as soon as we can, but take that for what it's worth for now.

#marvelvscapcom Capcom's fighting game guru Seth Killian says it's kind of cheap, but you can play as Galactus in Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3. He showed off that feature today in a trailer that showed the devourer of worlds giving Wolverine a beatdown. More »

If you're sick of fair fights, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 has you're number. During a Marvel games panel at New York Comic-Con, Capcom announced and showed Galactus as a playable character in Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3. Basically, Galactus inhabits the right side of the screen from the waist up and blasts, crushes, and pounds his enemies. He had no health bar and seemed to take no damage. The panel described this as its own mode. Whatever it was, it looked totally cheap and totally cool...

There was a time when I was a huge fighting game fan. But my gaming attention has long since frayed into many directions, and the years haven't been too kind to me. Now, my fighting game skills have slowly atrophied into nothing. So when I stepped-up to a kiosk to play Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 t...

Capcom actually did it. Phoenix Wright is in Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, and somehow Capcom managed to build an arsenal of attacks based on Phoenix's strengths: investigation, gathering and presenting evidence, and ... getting out of Maya Fey's way.

He even has a super attack in which he presents decisive evidence in a murder case against his opponent.

If you're at New York Comic-Con, you'll be able to get material for your own testimony about this game by playing the new build featuring Phoenix.

I'm sure that there are some minor technical differences between Marvel vs. Capcom 3 and its upcoming Ultimate counterpart. I'm also sure that most of them would go right over my head, so, this preview will focus on some of the bigger system changes. I can also lay out some basic info on Vergil and Iron Fist, two characters that made their public debut at TGS.

Capcom-Unity captured 30 minutes of uninterrupted Dragon's Dogma gameplay from Gamescom, controlled by producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi. Even while being interviewed, Kobayashi holds his own in open-field battle scenes and close-quarters combat alike.

Capcom also captured a producer interview-slash-gameplay session for Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, which is even more impressive in its potential for distracting a producer mid-sentence. Check it out after the break.
