Tiny Tina, stuck in a precarious position, doesn't sulk. She rides that reading rainbow and lets her imagination (and undiagnosed psychosis) get her out of a particularly prickly situation. Although not tied to any particular promotion, this Borderlands 2 short comes shortly after the game's GOTY announcement.

Borderlands 2 will get a new DLC pack this fall, Gearbox announced at PAX Australia. The Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack 2 will include the Digistruct Peak Challenge map and 11 levels. It also comes with a bumped level cap of 72, all for about $5.

According to OXM, studio head Randy Pitchford said "two or three" additional "Headhunter Packs" for Borderlands 2 are also on the way, starting with T.K. Baha's Bloody Harvest, which sees the return of Borderlands character T.K. Baha, if the title didn't indicate as much. None of said DLC is included in the Season Pass, but is expected to launch by Halloween.

In a recent episode of the Nerdist podcast, Gearbox head Randy Pitchford said the studio isn't calling it quits on Borderlands 2 DLC.

"We are going to do more, we are going to do some other things. I don't have details exactly of it yet cause we're not ready to announce what the other things are," Pitchford said around the one hour, nine-minute mark in the show. Gearbox has "more stuff in the hopper that we're planning and getting pretty excited about. So if you are a Borderlands 2 fan, you don't have to be afraid that that's the end of it."

The latest DLC campaign for Borderlands 2, Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep, is the fourth and final component of the Borderlands 2 season pass. It places the original Vault Hunters from Borderlands in a tabletop role-playing session helmed by brash youth Tiny Tina.

"BOOYAH. Not racist," exclaims Tiny Tina in the newest Borderlands 2 DLC, out today. It's not every day you hear video game characters discussing racism. Especially those who have had history with the concept, warranted or not. For the record, I do not think Tiny Tina's personality conveys any sort of racism. If you are familiar with writer Anthony Burch and his sister Ashly Burch—who voices Tiny Tina—you'll recognize it's part of their natural banter/humor. I already wrote about this (awesome) DLC a few times, but I wanted to share an interesting clip that happens a good chunk of the way through the main campaign. So, minor dialogue spoilers in case you're worried about preserving the entire experience. Is the clip above a friendly jab at the heat writer Burch took back in February? I reached out to Gearbox, figuring it was a self-aware, tongue-in-cheek joke meant to lighten the mood of the angry tweets against Tiny Tina. Something of an inside jab. They declined to comment. While there may be no intended thought put into tying the two together—the two instances of supposed racism come from, after all, completely different contexts—it's not a difficult connection to make. At the least it's interesting to see a video game character discuss racism at all in a game, however in passing or jokingly it may have been. I turn it over to you guys. What do you think? Borderlands 2 just got brand new downloadable content. It's called Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep, and it's fantastic. It's seriously the best Borderlands 2 DLC yet. Partially because it's huge and partially because it's basically fan service to a hell of a lot of games (including Borderlands itself, of course) that we adore. But it wouldn't be a slice of Borderlands without some silliness, and so I present exhibit A as proof that Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep maintains the expectation the series has set. Watch me play the DLC above as I try to solve a puzzle to unlock a gate. I spent a good chunk of time trying to figure out its code, analyzing symbols and patterns and even scrawling notes with pen and paper (something I haven't done since Fez!). Which I love to do! I love puzzles. But then Borderlands 2 goes and turns everything on its head and I'm all, I should've known, Borderlands. I should have known. The latest Borderlands 2 video reveals the sad plight of Krieg, the playable psycho character whose troubled mind you can enter for $9.99. Disconcertingly, Krieg’s inner monologue reveals him to be a thoughtful and frustrated individual. The words that come out of his mouth – words like ‘poop train’ and ‘meat bicycle’ – do not reflect his thoughts, suggesting there has been a breakdown between brain and mouth. Or between brain and other parts of brain. It’s a bit like the time I approached a bar and inadvertently ordered a pint of Carling even though I wanted a beer. You’ll undoubtedly recognise some parallel to your own life when you press play, below.

Oh Krieg — dear, sweet Krieg. The Psycho Pack addition to Borderlands 2's roster had already won my admiration with his fire and axes. With this bittersweet peek at the man behind the madness, he's won my heart. I've always wanted to get a heart tattoo on my arm, complete with a flowery banner that reads "Your Mom." It might cost a little more, but "I'm the conductor of the poop train" might fit better.
