Now remember, there are some 3DS eShop-exclusives titles coming out that tie into Pokemon Black/White 2. If you're looking to pick those up, what better way to do so than with some Pokemon-themed prepaid cards?

There's a 1,000 yen version due out on June 23rd and a 2,000 yen Pikachu card due out on July 14th.

This Iwata Asks feature includes input from Pokemon Company CEO Tsunekazu Ishihara and Game Freak development head Junichi Masuda.

- decision to make the sequel came about after the first was completed
- the team decided to move away from what users would expect by creating this sequel
- during Black & White's development, the dev team had an idea that they could not put in the game due to time constraints
- this idea required the release of two SKUs
- that's how we ended up with Black and White 2
- the idea to turn this into a sequel for Black and White came later in development
- takes place two years after the original
- the fact that it's a direct sequel explains why the title is hitting DS instead of 3DS

We don't know if you guys realize this or not, but Japanese is dramatically different from English. They use different keyboard layouts and everything, which can make understanding the media somewhat of a challenge.

Some things however, like this latest trailer for Pokemon Black and White 2, transcend the man-made boundaries of language by communicating on a far more primal, emotional level. Debuted during last night's Nintendo Direct event in Japan, the above trailer showcases tons of gameplay, what appears to be a water-type gym and a bunch of words we don't understand.
