"When we were initially researching it, it was a struggle to find anything that explained very clearly how you actually made pop-ups, but we were lucky enough find a book by a guy called Duncan Birmingham. Duncan wrote a book that very systematically breaks down the rules of fold types and how you actually construct pop-ups. For me as a programmer, it gave me a basis to build the tools and work out the mathematics that allowed us to construct pop-ups in the game.

We contacted Duncan because we were so thankful, and he invited us to his house. He's got the most amazing collection of pop-up books. Like hundreds and hundreds. We spent the whole day there just looking through his library. Some of them were really old and that was fascinating for us, seeing all the different ways you could use pop-ups to make interactive experiences." - Phil Tossell

OBJECTION(able) – Steam To Let You Report Games

If I didn’t know any better (and honestly, I don’t), I’d say Valve is really gearing up to finally open the floodgates to Steam, resulting in less direct regulation of every single solitary game that makes it onto the 800 lb gorilla of PC storefronts. That’s just speculation on my part, but it would certainly seem to justify an entire system that allows users to report offensive or otherwise objectionable games. Details below.

March 14th, 2014 GAME, the UK’s leading video games retailer, is unveiling an exciting and magical new member of the Skylanders family: Enchanted Lightcore Star Strike. Skylanders fans will be able to get the new character exclusively from GAME when it hits the shelves on March 14th.

The tale of Star Strike is one of mystery and intrigue, after she was plucked from her home in the distant cosmos and brought accidently into Skylands by Kaos. Having seen through his evil plans, she unleased her fierce magical powers on him. Word of her victory over Kaos spread quickly and she was soon asked by Master Eon to join the Skylanders. Now, gamers have the chance to play with this magical character only available at GAME.

And the fun doesn’t stop there, with GAME offering customers who buy any two Swapforce characters (including the new and exclusive character), a free Giants Triple pack or Battlepack. And with Easter half-term around the corner, fans of the game will be able to pick up even more eggscellent offers. To find out more about the world of Skylanders, why not check out the GAME Junior section of your local GAME store.

Customers can get the Skylanders: Enchanted Lightcore Star Strike character for £11.99 at GAME stores nationwide or online at www.game.co.uk
