After seeing this, there is simply no way I'm not renewing my account for Cataclysm.

I don't care if I become a soulless husk from it either.

I figure I'd post this because I've been listening to quite a bit of game music lately.

I'd like to hear some opinions: which game companies do you think make the best music? Which games have some of the greatest music you've ever heard?

Personally, I've always loved the music Rare makes. From the old Donkey Kong Country games (Mining Melancholy and Stickerbush Symphony *crag* yeah) to more recent games such as Viva Pinata and Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts n' Bolts, their music has always felt incredibly epic in one way or another.

Another company on my top list is obviously HAL. I seriously love the *crag*ing music in Kirby games.

Also a favorite would have to be the folks at Nintendo for the Super Mario Galaxy/Metroid Prime soundtracks. (though I still hate 90% of the New Super Mario Bros music because of that stupid *crag*ing "BUH-BUH-BUH" noise)

After hearing some of the music from the upcoming World of Warcraft: Cataclysm expansion, I can certainly say that Blizzard has also earned a place on my list of god-tier music.

Other favorites of mine include Namco and Konami, more on that later probably.

Maybe I'll post some links to favorite examples later. Feel free to post some of your favorite songs and the like.

I'll just sum it up instead of boring you guys with details, but what happened is my brother and I found an old box while we were cleaning out an old closet in what will soon be his room. Among the things found were the following:

-1 BB Rifle, working condition

-Donkey Kong Country Trilogy Soundtrack set

-Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Soundtrack

-Super Mario 64 Original Soundtrack

-Final Fantasy IX Original Soundtrack, still with all the extras (artwork, piano sheet for Melodies of Life, etc.)

I know I can just download these soundtracks for free(and I already have all the DKC soundtracks on this laptop), but actually having the physical items is just awesome.

Needless to say, today is happy day.

Also, cold's gone.

Been asleep for maybe 3 hours tonight.

Somehow managed to catch a cold in the middle of summer.

My throat hurts like *crag*.

So I'm just playing SimTower.

Hell yes.

I am, partly because I'm a sucker for Metroidvania games and 6-player co-op sounds fun.

Also, the urge to go on Xbox Live and shout "JONATHAN!" "CHARLOTTE!" through the mic is too much.

I'm preparing to dodge castle-penetrating energy beams and a swarm of Alucards.
