I'm going camping tonight for the first time outside of someone's property, and I was wondering if there are any precautions that aren't so obvious that I should take, because I know the basics, and I know what to stay away from and such.
If anyone has any tips, it would be great. |

I guess it really depends on where you live. If you live in deep woods, then bears might live there. I heard that if you see a bear, you're not supposed to run, you just need to stand there. Also, keep your garbage suspended in the air so Raccoons can't get it. |

Okay, so far only Green Para-Troopa has helped. I live in an area that has woods, but isn't known for bears or any large predators. |

If you have to leave food outside, put it in a bag and hang it from a tree.
That'll stop the bears. Sort of.
Also, never forget matches/lighter/flint. I did once. Not fun. |

if your sleeping in a tent.... never totally close the zipper or whatevetr closes the tent because you need ventilation and if you dont... well there will be about a pint of water coating your entire tent |
