One more time, I actually managed to make it here to open it up. Fun how this always ends up happening.
1st June - Mario 2nd June - Donkey Kong 3rd June - Link 4th June - Samus Aran 5th June - Kirby 6th June - Fox McCloud 7th June - Pikachu 8th June - Marth 9th June - Mr. Game & Watch 10th June - Luigi 11th June - Diddy Kong 12th June - Princess Zelda and Sheik 13th June - Pit 14th June - Meta Knight 15th June - Falco Lombardi 16th June - Squirtle, Ivysaur, Charizard and Pokémon Trainer overall 17th June - Ike 18th June - Solid Snake 19th June - Princess Peach 20th June - Yoshi 21st June - Ganondorf 22nd June - Ice Climbers 23rd June - King Dedede 24th June - Wolf O'Donnel 25th June - Lucario 26th June - Ness 27th June - Sonic the Hedgehog 28th June - Bowser 29th June - Wario 30th June - Toon Link 1st July - Robotic Operating Buddy 2nd July - Captain Olimar and Pikmin 3rd July - Captain Falcon 4th July - Jigglypuff 5th July - Lucas
So, for today, we're discussing old-school mountain climbers, that are considered worthless and things of the like far and wide, so for the purpose of avoiding unconstructive comments, SPAM, flaming and flamebaiting (Through bashing), reporting should be an act to be done well.
So, no time for questions today, I gotta get out of here in a hurry. Just start the discussion, will ya? |

IC's are really good at damage racking. And are really powerful. Hard to main, but once you do, you have a lot of options with them. Really useful. |

As nice as the tag team concept is...they're completely useless as far as recodnition goes. Look, we already have Pit, we don't need another retro character. Pit could've been in Melee, and that could've made something good out of the Kid Icarus series (or at least a lot of pissed-off fanboys at Pit's "cheapness" rather than "WTF IC's"). Their role in the Subspace Emissary...look, they shouldn't have even been in it. Really, the Glacial Peak was just stuffed into SSE to make an excuse for the Ice Climbers to be there. It would've made sense if they were just climbing early in the game and Dedede/Halberd/Star Wolf/Spiteful Toon Link attacks, but just climbing and Meta Knight is the real star? Pitiful, absolutely pitiful.
The Ice Climbers, while good characters in their own unique way, are useless to the Super Smash Bros. series and general Nintendo media. Note that they're the only characters who haven't appeared in Brawl Taunts. They're THAT unnoticable.
If you wanted a tag team, I much would've prefered Lolo & Lala or the Baby Mawio Bwos. |

Bowser Time! Mr. I, while you say that they're very horrible, you HAVE TO notice that there are others who like them, preferably me. So stop flaming them.
To me, they are useful. I experimented them with their vB move, and i find that it can spam pretty well if you can master them. Although they are weak alone, you should do fine with one if you dodge a lot. And the presence of another character on your side in a Battle Royale REALLY helps their value.
I give them a 4 out of 5. |

... How the hell is Mister I flaming them? You're talking about the way they play in your post, but he's talking about the characters themselves in his.
I don't mean to be rude, just observing; but from what I see you like to use the term "flaming" a lot.
On topic, I agree with your points on how they play, but in my opinion, spamming a move is not very smart. Especially since the poser goes down slightly each time you use it. |

I give them a 4 out of 5. | Uh, you don't flame a fictional character. Going overboard is called bashing, but Mister I was polite and reasonful all the time.
Anyway, yeah, I don't think they really were worth their positions, but somehow, the surprise of their comeback was nice.
The biggest deal about them is that they are hard to master, but once you do, you have a full set of incredible tactics under the sleeve -- including a grab combo. |

I was nearly unstoppable using them in Melee. I don't play them as much in Brawl, but I can still lay the hurt down on somebody... and nothing beats having two Beam Swords at the same time. |

The Ice Climbers are really a power bunch.
When they are together, their attacks are very powerful and can cover a wide range of space and time, and many options are available. They are the only characters that can use 2 different items and grab 2 enemies at the same time, thanks to their teamwork.
Each climbers have their own damage meter. The shown one is the Playable Climber's one. The NPC (Non-Playable Climber)'s is not shown, thought.
And while most of their advantage are gone when alone, the lone climber still have enough force to do as much damage as possible. All is not over! |
