So, here's the deal. We've all been experiencing...problems with...certain members. Well, this is just something I thought up a while back, but really saw no major reason to implement it.
So, we are all up to date on the warning/strike, court, jail, ban system, correct? Well, if not, please refer to this topic:
http://digibutter.nerr.biz/viewtopic.php?t=110572
We all caught up now? Good. If not, You need to leave digibutter now. Your ignorance is not tolerated here.
Now then, on with the show.
First off, the warnings. What is it, one or to warnings before you get striked for the same crime? I like that. Keep that the same.
Strikes. This is the way I think things should work.
Three strikes, and you're jailed. Three jailings, and you're banned.
Now, don't freak out, I'm not finished yet.
Every month, strikes reset. So, if you had two strikes, and to jailings, you would keep those jailings, but start with zero strikes.
Every two months, the jailings reset. So now, if you were able to keep a clean slate for the following month, you now have zero strikes, and zero jailings.
With this justice system in place, the "good" users, would have little to nothing change for them.
The "average" users would have mild things change for them, but nothing too drastic. This would ultimately, with time, shape them into "good" users.
"Bad" users would be separated by the "good" and "average" users, and be given a simple set of guidelines. Improve to "average" or "good" members, or be removed from the system.
Those who improve, obviously, are rewarded with the privilege to belong to this community, as do the "good" and "average" members.
Those who remain "bad", already are ultimately harming the site, and therefor, should be removed.
This system is completely fair. It chooses no one for privileges. It holds no one in high regards. There are no flaws.
Those who deserve to stay, shall stay.
Those who need to be deleted, are removed.
Everyone is given an even chance. Even those who remain "bad" can find a way to stay, so long as they don't slip up completely in those two months.
This will ultimately bring about the creation of a healthier, happy, more user friendly Digibutter. This system will help keep out the flame, spam, and annoying people like Naruto, Rawrskey, Lucas...Lucas...Lucas, ect. They may comeback, but, they had their chances. The moment their return is made known, they are banned.
This also means that all bans are now made IP bans. There would be no more perma jailings, or regular account bans, with the exception of alts. Unless of course tat alt is the alt of a banned member, in which case, it's an IP ban.
The system will make Digibutter a more fruitful site. Most bad reputations will be shattered. The good are rewarded with the greatest award Digibutter can offer. Access to it's board. The evil are served a delectable dish of despair...errr, justice.
So, just a recap. Three strikes to a jail. Three jailings to a ban. This means nine strikes to a ban. In addition, every month, strikes are removed, leaving you with a clean slate. (Obviously, this is refering to strikes leading up to a jailing. This does not include previous sets of three strikes). A month after that, making every two months, all jailings are removed, as well as the monthly strikes, leaving you with a completely white board. cleansing you of all past sins.
Also, I was bored, so I wrote this. sort of a proverb of some sort. Enjoy! ^-^
Do not get involved in foolish discussions about interweb pedigrees or in quarrels and fights about obedience to Digibutter laws. These things are useless and a waste of time. If people are causing divisions among you, give a first and second warning. After that, have nothing more to do with them. For people like that have turned away from the truth, and their own sins condemn them.
A completely fair system that makes digibutter better, with little to no flaws? Do I have your support? |

Strikes and jailing are removed after a couple months? I learned something new today!
That sounds good. Let's hope there are no more atrocities. |

No no, it's saying that they SHOULD be removed after a set amount of time, that is, if the rest of the system should be implemented. |

Don't you see silly? They were given NINe strikes before their banishment. In addition, those strikes reset atfter a month. And after two, strikes and jailings reset. If they get nine strikes, OR MORE, within two months, do they REALLY deserve to be here? Aren't they just hurting the community? Honestly. Nine OR MORE strikes in two months. |

If my spamboard idea is put into use, then spam strikes should be very few and far between. |

I believe it was said that, if a spam board was made, all rules would apply WITH THE EXCEPTION of the spam rule, and the...I believe it was flooding rule. (A.K.A. fads.) So, you would be safe. ^-^ |

I like this idea a lot. It will make this site much better, but it'll only work if we:
1. Keep the court System 2. Put in the spam board, making OT "Light Discussion" and GD "Serious Discussion" |

The fact that many members feel that a spamboard has to be made is, quite honestly, absolutely sickening.
Thank goodness someone has (for lack of better term that doesn't refer to reproductive organs) the guts to finally pick apart this obviously annoying and overall corrupt system of punishment. I believe in second chances, but sometimes, there are just those who do not learn their lessons, or act pretty well like they did, then a month or so later, just revert back to their barbaric forms. It's a privilege to be a member of digibutter, not a right. Cherish it and make the community better.
Lack of contribution just...it's just REALLY frusterating and gives me such a headache...working against contribution...that really gives me the desire for a good, satisfying neck snapping. |

What, do you want spam clogging up every other forum? No. No you don't.
And most people here feel the need to spam, just to get it out of their system.
If they had a place where they could do that, maybe we'd have less striking and jailing.
If you don't understand this, then I can't believe you know what you're talking about. |

Yes. Spamboard=Less strikes for spam. Less strikes=Less complaining Less complaining=Good Unless I'm mistaken somewhere. |
