Microsoft made a huge marketing push behind Xbox Live Arcade downloadable games this year, even adding the first XBL Community games. Here are the nom-nom-nominations:
Castle Crashers - a 4-player co-op side-scrolling beat-em-up game with some RPG elements
Mega Man 9 - the first Mega Man game since 1996. Old-school platformer graphics and gameplay.
Braid - a puzzle platformer where you can rewind time to reverse your actions, even after dying.
Penny Arcade Adventures: On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness - a puzzle adventure game with Paper Mario-ish RPG battles. Features Penny Arcade humor.
Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved 2 - sequel to the multidirectional shooter that adds new modes and local multiplayer.
Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix - The original fighting game with high-resolution artwork and both classic and "remixed" gameplay. |
