Too cartoony.
Mario games were well-thought out.
Now you have a mediocre story mode and half-assed user levels. | What block of Dark Matter have you been living under? Half the awesomeness of the game is the fact that it looks cartoony. The other half is the sheer potential of what you can build. Crappy user levels is because the creators didn't think hard enough about it. Some of the LBP videos on youtube are about extremely awesome levels. While you CAN get a similar create-almost-anything experience from Roblox, you also have the problem of mega lag, and the limitations of crappy meshes and MS Paint'd decals. Not to mention the simple fact that LBP is played on a TV set in way-high-resolution, while Roblox has, as Homestar put it, "a low polygon count". |
...Maybe because the characters, most objects, and the landscape are friggin BUILDING BLOCKS | You don't build with blocks. You draw the shapes like you would with a pencil.
You're not limited with graphics on LBP unless you have no artistic talent. |
