My gripes with it: The wings are misshapen. Mainly, they don't seem to segment at the joints like pure bone in game, and the little claw with the heart is smaller than it should be. The overall outline of your character fusion is shakey. While this is understandable, there's no reason you couldn't use the shape tools to rectify it unless you flat out didn't want to. Other than that, everything looks okay, though the eye color doesn't exactly look right. |

Here's what I'd do. using something like GIMP.
I'd make two layers, or more.
One layer would have the outline of it, shapes and all. Then, the next layer would get a bit more specific, and the next more, so on and so forth. While this may take a while, it generally ends quite well. |

Yeah for guidelines it's okay just as long as the shapes won't end up screwing up perspective stuff, but for putting the details in it's bad. And not just "meh, kinda not good" but really bad. Honestly, in the long run it's better to just learn how to actually draw the shape of something rather than use tools that make you look lazy. |

The "it's MSPaint" argument really pisses me off.
Sure, MSPaint is limited compared to bigger programs like PhotoShop or GIMP or something like that, but that doesn't mean it's a piece of shit.
I make all my sprites in MSPaint because it's simple, and easy to use, not because I want my sprites to look like crap.
And as one last message, I never said you couldn't draw. I only said IF you can't draw. So yeah, lemme know if you get a scanner so I can see your better works. |

I abuse the shit out of shape tools, openly stated so, and no one's complained. :U |
