Francis my friend. You just screw up digi.

Yes, I understand that. Thats why I am asking for feedback.
No one has given me a good reason as to why this is a bad idea yet.

I'll give a reason.

It's crazy. Sometimes, people just don't have those extra words to fit a 200 word post.

Plus, not all topics need to have that many words in GD.

Francis. This restriction is going to tick off a lot of people. Users like Nario are not going to like this.

Hell, I don't like this idea at all. I say it again... it's stripping away our freedom to post whatever we want!

there's something wrong with needing your post to be 10 letters long. that's it! TEN LETTERS. or symbols. or punctuation. or numbers.

HOW WILL WE EVER LIVE! WE NEED TO PUT 200 CHARACTERS INCLUDING SPACES, QUOTATION MARKS ETC. TO START A NEW TOPIC IN GD! HOW WILL WE EVER SURVIVE! seriously, there is nothing that is not considered a character. SPACES ccount as characters. I think they do, anyway.

The longer length for GD is so that there is more differentiation between it and Off-Topic. People can expect more thought out discussion in GD. Well, that's the idea anyways. 200 characters is like two full sentences.

That paragraph was like 222 characters.
