Long version:
I called nintendo, and they said it was probably because I hyper-extended the screen, which is bullshit, because I am obsessive about things like that. Now they want to charge me $57.50 for a stupid broken piece of plastic that wasn't my fault anyways, and I still have a warranty, but they said it is voided because it was "physical damage", so I'm screwed warranty wise, and I sure damn well ain't going to pay half of what I bought it for to fix it.
Short version:
Nintendo's being a bitch. Is there any way I can glue it without making it so I can't open and close it? Because it keeps on falling shut because It's loose. |

Is this how it looks like or is the crack on a different part of the hinge?
Also is your DS, a Nintendo DS Lite?
You could try gluing it with a tough kind of glue. I would try gluing the center part of the piece that is cracked. If that doesn't work, then I don't believe that you can do anything else, but pay for it. |

Thats nothing my DS has cracked one of itīs hinges totally but it works perfectly without it. |

Same thing happened to me... TWICE. Had to pay $50 both times even though all I did was open it for it to break. |

yup me too. i could lift up my screen one one side of my ds. the hinge is completely cracked. i think my volume is a little quiet but other than that its perfect. maybe ds lite is different than the older version. |

My DS Phat's hinge is like, completely broken. It still works though, and I still play it all the time xD |
