This is an "advanced technique" that was recently discovered. Allow me to explain it. You know how the C-Stick is set to Smash attacks by default? Change that to Special. You will be using B-Moves from tilting the C-Stick, hence the name "C-Sticking". Now then, how you do it. You jump, and then tilt the C-Stick in the opposite direction you are going, and you should be pushed backwards. Press diagonally for the Up and Down, standard is too difficult to do. Now then, for the characters. Any Specials I did not list had no effect, or in the case of Standard B, I was unable to do.
Mario: Side+B: Slight movement Down+B: Increased Recoil Luigi: Down+B: Slight Movement, almost unnoticeable Peach: Down+B: Possible slight movement. Down+B was not tested. Bowser: No effects, but Standard B might have an effect Link: Side+B: Noticeable movement Zelda: Side+B: Slight Movement, noticeable Sheik: Side+B: Slight Movement Ganondorf+Captain Falcon: No effect, Paunch not tested Toon Link: Same as Link R.O.B: Side+B: Very slight movement backwards, forward movement from the attack makes it useless Ice Climbers: Side+B: Slight Movement Down+B: Slight Movement, Noticeable Pit: Down+B: ALMOST COMPLETELY UNNOTICEABLE MOVEMENT Samus: No effect Zero Suit Samus: Up+B: Slight Movement Side+B: Noticeable Movement Sonic: No effect Snake: Side+B: Slight Movement, greater than Down+B's Down+B: Slight Movement Kirby: Standard B: Only managed to do this once, Slightly Movement, Noticeable Side+B: ALMOST COMPLETELY UNNOTICEABLE MOVEMENT Lucas: Best character to use Standard B: Slight movement Side+B: VERY NOTICEABLE, RECOMMENDED FOR USE. Down+B: Slight Movement Lucario: Side+B: VERY NOTICEABLE, SLIGHTLY LESS MOVEMENT THAN THAT OF LUCAS' SIDE+B Jiggly: No effect Ness: Side+B: Slight Movement Squirtle: No effect, B might have increased recoil Ivysaur: No effect. Charizard: Side+B: Slight Movement Pikachu: Down+B: Slight Movement, Noticeable
Im probable missing some, but these are the ones I could remember. |

aw great its discoveries like these that ruins the game for some people, and give huge advantages to others. There goes Sakurai's wish of balancing out the characters. Well nice find at least. |

The Star Fox characters: No effect Meta Knight: Only good for complete change of direction Dedede: Side+B: Slight Movement Olimar: Down+B: Slight Movement
Anyways, I tried it out outside of Training Mode, and I wasnt very impressed. It didnt help much. I discovered this technique after watching a video of it. |

I'm not too fond of it either, but I'll take what I've learned elsewhere and say that constantly moving back makes you predictable and an easy target. If you see somebody using this technique, I'll suggest simply advancing harder.
Hopefully it doesn't become too much of a problem. |

Very difficult to pull of a standard, but the C-Stick for your specials, along with B, allows you to be precise in the air, and still be able to use all your st00f. |

Hmm... That's actually not bad, and it's not really cheap either. I think I might try it out. |

Exactly. I find the "bouncing" to be quite fun, but I did manage to dodge an attack once by Wavebouncing. This was sheer luck, as every other time, SMAAAASH! |

I wasn't the one that created the name, and I actually prefer using the C-Stick for Specials rather than using it for Smashes. |
