The Village of Hexalon is a neutral tourist destination for everyone in the Avalon Kingdom. People come from all over to challenge each other in Hexx to gain leaderboard status, complete their tile collection or just win rewards! Since the Village is doing so well they have new VIP features under construction to be released in 2013: VIP Lounge and Dragon Riding!
Players of Hexx can always play for free, and they can even earn the first set of Elemental Tiles through Farlow and the Crystal Hunter game. If you want to increase your chances to win you can purchase random tiles, tile packs or the entire first set of tiles from the Hexx Store. More Crystal headgear! These Crystal items are made from rare Avalonian crystals in the following new styles: Unicorn, Trihorn and (devil) Horns. Each version is blue for males and pink and purple for the ladies, except for the (devil) horns which are obviously red and orange!

Additionally the Swimming Floats can also be used with Everyone’s Picture: On the Beach. Choose a pose on a Swimming Float, try taking a picture of yourself!
Granzella Winter EventsAt GZ Burger, invite your friends and feast side by side! The Southern Island Hideaway and Great Edo of Nippon lounges have also been changed completely with winter scenery.
Game Mechanics has you covered with more cool stuff for your personal spaces and clubs. This week sees the release of Xi: Continuum. There have been many strange things going on in Home recently. It all seems to be coming to a head and this is the week when you need to come together to answer the question on everyone’s mind: What is the Continuum?
For those who get involved with Xi: Continuum from the start, the game will take place over 47 days with new content each day either in Home, on external websites or via community tasks. If you find yourself a bit behind or want to play it at your own pace you can do that as well. Xi: Continuum has been designed to appeal to everyone – those who love getting involved with others, but also for people who like to do things by themselves.
For those who missed out on experiencing Xi in 2009, now is your chance to see what all the fuss is about.

Heavy Water – Emo Ray Vs. The Intergalactic Teddy BearsEmo Ray Vs. The Intergalactic Teddy Bears is the first full-fledged, story driven game to reach PlayStation Home. Take on the role of the unlikely hero, Raymond Radd, and rescue friends while stopping the evil teddy bears from taking over the city. Learn how to handle driving the E-Mobile and using its weaponry against the teddy bear threat through free-to-play tutorials and Action Mode. Host a tea party and welcome your guests. Forget the hustle and bustle of the city for a little while and enjoy a peaceful moment. The Tea Ceremony Tool Set includes a Japanese Teacup, a Japanese Teakettle, and a Dango.

With help from their growing family of Mechs, Iron Fusion’s scientists studied the esoteric design of the Samurai and Geisha Bots and used their findings to create the next generation of transforming robots. Unlike their predecessors the Mechjets, Panthabots Falchion, Makhaira, Shamshir, Atrox, Azandica and Tulliana are able to alter their form at will.
The Panthas have exceptional visual and olfactory scanning capabilities. They have begun training in physical combat, apparently in preparation of a coming enemy, but are reticent when it comes to specific details. Initial data implies that the past disappearance of several Solar Fusilier and Abyss Trooper units, plus the appearance of a mysterious ‘Shadow Portal’ are all somehow connected to the Panthabots high alert status.

Purchasing the cabinet gives players access to the game along with a full avatar skin, some themed glasses to wear, and even a Shawn McGrath-inspired outfit, complete with cowboy hat and beard.
There's also a bevy of other new avatar items available for purchase, and some tweaks and additions to the Avalon Keep area in Home (including a new crystal-collecting minigame you can play with friends). Sony says the update, including that new arcade cabinet, should be out and available on PlayStation Home on this Wednesday, November 7; however, no price was revealed.

Head to the new HGL Public Space where every player gets five free turns of the combat game, allowing you to try fighting with all four Creatures. Our Adventure District has been possessed by ghouls, ghosts, an evil bartender named Chuck, vampires, and wolves, plus a few mini-games and tons of rewards to earn. Crackle is serving up a free slasher flick spectacular, Heavy Water has made the first item you can spy and snap pics with, Juggernaut and Konami bring new hair-raising things to enjoy, and nDreams introduces the first ever beast mounts.

Halloween, Monster Style:
There are spooky goings-on as night falls upon the PlayStation Home Adventure District. Every fifty years, fiends and ghouls alike come together to celebrate Halloween and throw a huge party. Carved skull tiki statues decorate the island as well as banners, flags and fiendish decorations that are scattered around as B-Movie Monsters gather at (Evil) Chuck’s Beach Bar.
Hit Me Bartender, er… Demon:
The community will have to scour the Adventure District looking for ingredients in order to make strange cocktail potions (non-alcoholic, of course) at Chuck’s bar. Check daily, as some ingredients are more rare, may only appear during certain hours, or only when you talk to some creepy characters hanging around. Some might not be even available to normal humans! Some will have wondrous effects, but be careful — some will have disastrous effects for amateurs that are new to brewing. Chuck is a heartless, evil demon and will serve you something quite deadly, so sip slowly, but enjoy every drop. You never know what might “possess” you. *evil laugh*
Mini-games With A Little Fiendish Competition:
During the Halloween festivities, the community will also have some positively electric games available to play, and competitions to best their friends with. Mark your calendars, as Halloween itself, October 31st, is bound to be the most fun of all.
Also, the Home Community Volunteers have planned their very own community event. On Monday, October 29th, at 7:00pm Pacific / 10:00pm Eastern, you can find them in the festive Adventure District for this year’s Halloween costume party!

2. Heavy Water – Heavy Strike Surveillance HelicopterHeavy Water brings you an update to their Heavy Strike line. They were inspired to have users be able to take to the skies in their own personal spaces and created the Surveillance Helicopter. This active item – only nine furniture slots – can take to the skies in any personal apartment or clubhouse. You and three friends can play at the same time. The best part of this helicopter is the surveillance part: taking photos! The helicopter can take photos of anything that it sees, and you can take the photo with or without the helicopter in the frame. So grab your Heavy Strike Surveillance Helicopter and start finding new angles in your Home experience.
Once again Heavy Water has updated another one of its active items, the Heavy Strike Cannon. Heavy Water is devoted to making each item the best it can be, and now the Cannon is only seven furniture slots! All current owners will receive this update free to the Cannon. Anyone else who thought the Active Item was too many furniture slots, now you have no excuse! Pick up your Heavy Strike Cannon and gear today! You’ll find all this and more in the Heavy Water store in the Mall. Head there first thing Wednesday.

LOOT – Crackle Kill Count 2: Horror Movie ExtravaganzaIt’s that time of year again to watch Kill Count on Crackle, beginning today, October 22nd. 12 sinister strangulations + 24 cranial combustions + 32 vile slashings + hundreds of bloodthirsty kills = 1 bloody good time. Also available is the demonic Cutteridge Furniture Bundle, which includes 12 unique active furniture items (1-4 slots) that react to the presence of your avatar!

The first batch of locomotion items were released a couple of weeks ago and have gone down very well with Home users. One thing people have been asking for though is the ability to ride something: bikes, mini motorbikes, cars and hover boards. Those are some fantastic ideas and I’m sure you will be seeing those in Home soon but how about the ability to ride your own animal? This week will see the release of the Sky Serpents and Big Cats so be sure to check these out in action in the video underneath. nDreams have also been working on their very own WINGS range which includes eight different variations including Exotic Wings, The Dark Angel and the strangely names Picnic Demon.
With a certain spooky holiday just around the corner it is apt that The Morbids have decided to make their appearance in PlayStation Home. The Morbids consist of The Plague Doctor, China Doll, Scarecrow and Sad Clown and each Morbid comes in a variety of different options including a limited edition version of each that will only be available for select time periods throughout the year so pick them up while you can.
9. HellFire Games – Home Tycoon’s New Holistic Campus Skins + Update“Go Green” with the new Holistic Campus building, out this week in Home Tycoon! Boost your city’s revenues and cut down on pollution with this sleek, eco-friendly building from TransUtopia, available only in the Home Tycoon in-game store. Get a sneak preview in the City Showcase over at the Home Tycoon Train Station today!
Bug Fix: Hellfire Games has also fixed an issue in Home Tycoon preventing workers from regenerating outside of the game, and they’ve permanently decreased the regeneration time from 10 to 5 minutes. Workers will now regenerate as designed. Enjoy!
10. Community Theater – Hip Hop Gamer + PSTALENTThis coming week, we have an amazing set in the Community Theater. First up, Hip Hop Gamer interviews Vice President Eric Lempel about the new design of the PlayStation Store. Then PSTALENT brings quite a lineup of new content, including premiers from official PSTALENT associate producers Sicccre and AkumaPrince. Head to the Theater this Wednesday night to join in all the fun.
11. Lockwood – Weekly UpdateAs Lockwood’s Halloween Extravaganza draws to a close, celebrate all things spooky by sending a friend a creepy gift from the Gift Machine. Skinny Vinny finally has a female counterpart with Skinny Minny, Wulfred’s dark-furred cousin Calcifur makes an appearance, and the Enchanted Tiki Masks can turn any outfit into a fantastic costume. Halloween just wouldn’t be Halloween without Trick or Treating – make sure your friends have a candy-filled cauldron at the ready. The Flying Bat Wall Plaque and All-A-Glow Haunted House will be ideal for setting a spooky scene in their apartment.
In the last days of October don’t forget to pick up some free pink items from the Lockwood Store and Gift Machine to raise Breast Cancer awareness.

Uproar is a frantic and fun third-person shooter exclusive to PlayStation Home. Why play cover to cover when you can free roam? Uproar is the first avatar based free-roaming third-person shooter in PlayStation Home and it pulls out all the stops to bring you an experience unlike anything seen on the platform before. The game is extremely easy to jump into and play, the controls and gameplay will be instantly familiar to anyone who has played a third-person shooter before, however there are some very interesting tweaks to spice up the gameplay and keep it all feeling fresh. We think it’ll give you and your friends countless hours of fun battling it out within the Uproar Arena.
Pick your side.You can choose to fight on the side of either of our two gangs; the Outlaws or the Swyfts, as they battle for respect within the Uproar Arena. Each gang has its own unique set of clothing available within the inventory screen (all of which is wearable outside of the game), as well as a set of gang booths in the Uproar Lobby to hang out in with your fellow gang members and chat before you go and battle it out in the Arena. Be sure to let your rival gang know what you think of them with the full range of taunts available for use within the Arena!
Uproar anywhere! Uproar could turn up in any Home Space at any time, offering a brand new selection of maps to take the fight to. The first of these spaces to feature the excitement of Uproar will be the Action District. You can experience the Action District in ways you never could before, by clambering over rooftops and jumping in to the previously unreachable car park. The Uproar Arena itself is also a great location to shoot your friends in, with several maps of varying sizes, with unique obstacles and differing numbers of health and ammo pickups.
Full avatar customization. With its intuitive inventory system, Uproar presents a wealth of customization options to explore, allowing you to play according to your own style. Equip a primary weapon, secondary weapon, melee weapon, Serum, taunt and the clothing to boot, and head out to the battlefield. The innovative inventory system allows you to preview, purchase, rent, compare and gift everything all in one very convenient screen. It makes picking the right equipment and looks for your avatar a breeze, and even allows you to do it mid-battle if your tactics change. The rental system is also fantastic for trying different weapons before committing to a purchase. The speed and ease with which this inventory can be used helps keep the battles fast paced, while still allowing you full customization options at any point in the game.
True free-to-play. Every single weapon and Serum that is available within Uproar can also be unlocked for free through the use of unlock keys which you obtain simply by levelling up your avatar. On entering the game every new gang initiate will be given the free starter pack, which contains the Commando Rifle, Big Jonesy Pistol, Baseball Bat (complete with nails), Super Strength Serum, “Come at me bro” taunt and the standard issue set of initiate clothing. These are a great set of tools to get you started within the Arena, but be sure to try out everything that the game has to offer in the inventory screen.
The firepower. Uproar features a wide variety of weapons to suit all play styles. If you want to get right into the action and up in the face of your enemy, then the Shotguns will be perfect for you. However, if you prefer to play a bit more cautiously and take your enemy out from a far, then there’s also a range of Heavy Rifles to choose from. We’ve also included a great selection of melee weapons to smack your enemies in the face with when things get chaotic. The variety of weaponry on offer will make sure that things never get stagnant as every weapon has its own set of strengths and weaknesses which you can play to in order to match your personal play style, team strategy and your opponents’ tactics.
Take time to chill. Tired of killing people? We don’t know how that could be, but if you fancy a break you can always chill out in the Uproar Lobby and speak to likeminded rioters. Check out who’s ruling the Arena on the leader boards, read up on the History of the Uproar Arena and its owner Troika at the information point or check out what’s showing on the Jumbotron. If you feel the need to get back in the Arena, it’s never far away.
Super human. The Serums are a fantastic addition to Uproar that really help make the gameplay feel fresh and fun. Drinking one of the many Serums on offer will give you a short term boost to you character in a particular way. Sample the Speed Boost Serum for a temporary rush of speed to dodge bullets around the Arena or drink a Health Boost Serum to give you a short term increase in health before heading in to the fray. Again, access to Serums can be unlocked through just levelling up or by killing your helpless opponents.

For the first time, you can take to the skies of Aurora with your friends. Blimps lets you play a game of tag with 32 people. You’re given a free blimp to start, but then you’re able to purchase new blimps with different designs and better maneuverability to help you avoid being tagged! If you do purchase a new blimp you will be rewarded with Aurora XP as well to help you level up and reach Level 100 — netting you the Aurora Champion Apartment.

1. Juggernaut – Palace of the Seven WindsJuggernaut Games introduces the Palace of the Seven Winds personal space, clubhouse, clothing and furniture items.
For the first time ever in PlayStation Home, break free from your earthly shackles and explore the entirety of the space from the air. With rewards for guests and owners, your own personal genie, unique interactive features and furnishings, the Palace of the Seven Winds adds an exotic touch to your personal space collection or next club meeting. Also released is the “Essence of the Seven Winds” active furniture item, allowing flight in any personal space! Visit the limited-time open house to experience it for yourself!
With the Home 1.7 update comes the ability to equip inventory items that affect the way that your avatar moves. The very first set of Locomotion items available in Home are available for use on your avatar regardless of what outfit you are wearing. The first set includes:
- Super Dash – Allows your avatar to run faster than normal.
- Zen Flight – Instead of walking or running you will float in the air in the lotus position. You can also travel faster than the normal run.
- Super Flight – Majestically fly through the air like a super hero at different speeds.
- Ninja Run – Your run animation will become a slick ninja run and can change into a Ninja Sprint.
- Inferno Hero – A fantastic fire will swarm around your avatar and you can fly through the air surrounded by flames.
- Ice Hero – You can ride the ice coming from your hand and move quickly through whichever space you are in.
- Skateboards – With four different styles you can skate around Home and go quicker than you have ever been able to before. These also come with an ‘Ollie’ emote animation.
Equip these items in your inventory and see what effect they have. When running forward, keep hold of the square button to change the way your avatar moves.
You can pick up any of the new Locomotion items by visiting the nDreams store in the Mall or any commerce point within Aurora. Speaking of Aurora, rumor has it that some details surrounding the next update will be available via the nDreams newsletter, which you can sign up for here.
3. Lockwood – American Wildlife CompanionsSssshhh! Walk quietly, or you’ll scare them. If you keep downwind and crawl through the bracken with binoculars to hand, you might be lucky enough to spy a skunk, bear cub and wolf playing together. You wouldn’t usually expect to see these guys getting along, but Lockwood’s captive breeding program has resulted in more docile examples of the species. Sammy the Skunk, Bartholomew the Bear Cub and Wulfred the Wolf are available now in a woodland near you!
Sammy the Skunk is cute, fluffy and friendly, but don’t annoy him, ‘cos he’ll kick up a stink! Bartholomew’s a playful little chap who sometimes forgets he’s a bear and tries to walk like a person. Wulfred enjoys human company, but sometimes he misses life with the pack and howls to make sure he doesn’t lose touch with his wolf brothers.
So whether you prefer your companion cute, funny or enigmatic, one of these three is sure to be the perfect match for you! But don’t keep all the companions for yourself; visit the Gift Machine to adopt Nanook the Polar Bear cub for a friend.

Intellivision Productions, Inc. is excited to announce three of its classic games are coming to PlayStation Home. Astrosmash, Shark! Shark! and Night Stalker, which thrilled players in the early 1980s, have been upgraded while staying true to the spirit of the games’ classic looks and game play. We think of them as “enhanced yet completely faithful conversions,” but we call them Intellivision Gen2.
When the Intellivision console was introduced in 1980, it drew attention with its 16-bit graphics. Of course, it takes more than great graphics to make great games, and Intellivision fans quickly discovered the fun of iconic games such as Astrosmash, Shark! Shark!, Night Stalker and many others.
Until now, the games released by Intellivision Productions and its publishing partners have primarily been exact, faithful reproductions – usually deliberate emulations – of the original titles. While this great for players who want to relive their childhoods, we’ve wanted to try updating the games a bit; putting in some features we would have liked to put in back then.
Sony has given us that chance. The PlayStation Home team, many of whom grew up playing Intellivision, wanted to bring the Intellivision game library to Home, but with the freedom to try out some new ideas. We kept the basic look of the games recognizable to tickle the memories of our lifelong fans: still a bit blocky, but with a retro-pixel-inspired look. The goals and play of the games immediately feel like the originals, but with added levels, features and challenges. We worked to capture the best of Intellivision, then pushed that best further.
In Astrosmash, you blasted meteors falling to the planet’s surface while avoiding UFOs in a fast-paced, heart-pounding game. In Astrosmash Gen2, you are still blowing up those meteors, but now the game features more types of UFOs, more pronounced difficulty level progressions, and base weapon power-ups. If Astrosmash was your game, you’ll quickly get back into the intense rhythms of this game of survival!
In Shark! Shark!, you were a little fish that grew larger as you ate other fish. And even the smallest fish could take on the deadly shark. Well, in Shark! Shark! Gen2 you are still a fish eating other fish, you still try to take down the shark, but your food and foes both swim in a wide variety of dizzying new patterns. And, if you are fortunate enough to win the mermaid’s heart, you power through bonus rounds as well!
In Night Stalker, you raced through an underground labyrinth of bat and spider-filled tunnels, avoiding and blasting robots of ever-increasing intelligence. Well, get running and find your gun; Night Stalker Gen2 is still filled with bats and spiders, but now it has a greater variety of killer robots, each more challenging to confront, along with a variety of maze structures to sweat through!
Intellivision is delighted to bring you these enhanced titles. Of course, Intellivision is not abandoning our classic games; we will always make the exact originals available on a variety of platforms. But we are excited about this opportunity Sony has given us to let new generations discover the fun of Intellivision – simple games that can be learned in minutes but provide a lifetime of challenge. Intellivision Gen2 games will be available this fall — stay tuned!

Last week, PlayStation Home got an update to the action-packed free-to-play multiplayer game, Cutthroats: Battle for Black Powder Cove. With this news, we jumped on the phone to chat with Michael Mumbauer, Director of the Visual Arts Service Group (VASG), a madly creative department within Sony Computer Entertainment America. VASG has been helping make Home content nearly since Home went Open Beta and has made some of the platform’s most entertaining items and spaces, including the Home Mansion. Although VASG creates art and code for other development teams, like several of the World Wide Studios, this is their first full game.
Michael was kind enough to let me ask some questions that will shed a little insight on the decisions that went into this 2.0 update.
PlayStation.Blog: VASG has created content for Home for years, but when Home transitioned to a game platform in itself, it was the next logical step for them to step their game up and make one. What was the original concept behind Cutthroats, and did you do what you set out to achieve?
Michael Mumbauer, Director of Visual Arts Service Group: If we were going to make a game in Home, we wanted to focus on the strengths of Home—individualism and community. You can express yourself with a variety of looks as well as take your friends into an experience to share a really great time together. That was the focus — supporting the two pillars of what makes Home great.
As gamers ourselves, we didn’t want to sell the user short by making the user experience limited compared to what it could be socially while not sacrificing the game play experience in any way. For instance, would this game stand up on its own outside of Home? Yes, we think it would.
PSB: Do you consider this game a success?
MM: We met the goal — we delivered one of the best game experiences in Home, while also delivering a fun social experience. However, in the first version we left some polish on the table that we wanted to add, but unfortunately we were up against the clock.
PSB: That leads me to my next question. With the update to version 2.0, did you revisit your initial ideas while adding upgrades to the rest of the game?
MM: You polled in the official PlayStation Home forums, and we were very interested to see the feedback — users overall loved the game, but would liked to have seen a different approach to how the micro-transactions were set up. We didn’t have a functional grind-based economy, so that users could sample some of the purchasable items. The original game singularly focused on limited commodity items, which didn’t have value outside of the game. I think we corrected that by adding wearable purchasable items that perpetually affect the game, as well as limited use items that are significantly cheaper and add greater playtime.
PSB: There’s a lot of noise on our forums about a lack of new rewards or other incentives with the arrival of 2.0.
MM: My main focus for this update was to fix some of the obvious issues we learned from the feedback from its original release. Version 2.0 addresses many of the issues and provides a bunch more polish to the game, and adds a greater overall value. We wanted to raise the level cap and offer more rewards, and have many of these already prepared, but could not fit it all in time.
Seeing the demand already for these new rewards and incentives, as well as increasing the level cap, we’re going to release some of these items as well as a “giant” reward that will be the ultimate reward in the next update — so by all means enjoy it now, but know we have some tricks up our sleeves for you.

We’ve been hard at work on Home Tycoon for quite some time here at Hellfire Games, and we can’t wait to get the game out to the Home community. Featuring a robust city-building simulation, tons of story-driven missions and activities, vehicle driving (complete with turbo-charged cars and stunt ramps), and over 50 avatar rewards to unlock, Home Tycoon is unlike anything you’ve seen in the genre before, and the first game of its kind in PlayStation Home.
From Hometown to Metropolis
As the newly-elected Mayor, you’ll gather resources and broker strategic business deals to kick-start your town’s economy. You’ll need to work with representatives from the mysterious yet eco-friendly TransUtopia organization and the profit-hungry GloboSyn corporation along the way. Will you lead a truly green city built on renewable energy, or choose the more profitable route to prosperity?
With over 60 unlockable buildings at your disposal throughout the game, you’ll craft and personalize your city with apartment buildings, luxury homes, public parks, power plants, research hospitals, police stations, and much more – the only limit is your imagination.
Start Your Engines
Every new city has its fair share of problems… and who better to deal with them than an amateur Mayor? From city-wide fires to complete nuclear meltdowns, you’ll wear plenty of hats (figuratively and literally) to save your town from total destruction. Each mission series comes with its own over-the-top storyline and activities, with tongue planted firmly in cheek.
Among those activities, driving tricked-out sports cars will surely become a favorite among racing fans. This Wednesday, September 12th, PlayStation Home gets another global platform update to version 1.7, bringing with it some exciting new possibilities, subtle changes to improve the user experience and more. In other news, LOOT shares some cute freebies, Lockwood has a wonderful selection of items and new Gift Machine items, the Ca$h Carnival continues and more!
Home 1.70 UpdateApplication of the patch
If you are upgrading from an old version of Home (1.40 or earlier) then when you attempt to apply the 1.70 patch please wait for the orange “hard drive activity” light to stop flashing on your PS3 before commencing the patching process.
Camera
The camera has been added as an Action to the Emotes menu. This means you can now take pictures in Home while you are using a companion or other portable item.
- Select the Emote menu by pressing R1.
- Select the Camera option.
- The camera is activated and works in the same way as the portable version.
- The camera can be put away by pressing [Circle].
Changes to Commerce
We have made changes to the commerce process to speed it up and make it easier to browse and shop.
- Item thumbnails and object details are now displayed on the same screen.
- A Buy Now function has been added. Simply highlight the thumbnail of an item and press [SQUARE]. You will then be taken directly to the checkout screen where you can confirm if you wish to make the purchase.
- Items can quickly be added to the basket by highlighting the thumbnail and pressing the [TRIANGLE] button.
- Pressing [R1] has also been added as a shortcut to view the basket.
Animating Items
New functionality has been added that allows developers to create a new type of animating portable item.
- These items allow for an animating object to be used or worn by your avatar.
- These item types can also increase the movement speed of your avatar by 50% when applicable.
Ignore and Block
We have added some small features to the Ignore or Block function.
- If you ignore or block a player you will no longer see any emotes they perform.
- The ignored or blocked avatar is kept a bit further away from your avatar. (Yay! Personal space!)
- The ignored or blocked avatar will be faced away from you when they are close.
- “Ignored” or “Blocked” will be displayed under the name label of a player that you have ignored or blocked.
Private Message
- A Sound Effect now plays when you receive a new Personal Message (PM).
General
- A number of general stability improvements have been made.

1. nDreams – Street Moves, volume 4, and more!
You have had three volumes of the Street Moves collection so it would be rude not to let you have the fourth and final batch. This week sees the release of four new characters, all female, who are looking to dance anywhere and everywhere within Home; Rebel Raver, Dancing Diva, Clubwear Cutie and 80’s Icon. Check out the introducing video below and keep an eye out on some of the furniture in the background…
Were you watching? You saw the glowing disco ball on a pole right? That is The Shimmer Sphere and it is also coming this week with its stunning lighting effect turning any room into an impromptu disco dance hall. Also releasing this week is one set of the speakers that can also be seen in the video. BoxBeats: Dance is the first release of in apartment music entertainment system from nDreams.
BoxBeats: Dance comes with twelve dance tracks created by a mixture of independent DJ’s and allows you to play the tracks to your friends in your apartment. You can cycle through which tracks you want to play or just play all of them. You can pick up all of these fantastic items in the nDreams shop or any commerce point within Aurora.
2. Granzella – Grand Edo of Nippon Update
Take pictures with friends or by yourself. Everyone’s Picture for PlayStation Home has arrived in Great Edo of Nippon’s store and tenements! With customizable backgrounds, frames, pause, and photo effects you can take a variety of photos, from one person, of course, to romantic lovers, and even fun group photos. With weapons at the ready, snap a picture of yourself together with the Mononoke and the citizens of Edo!
3. VIP Nightclub x7 Update
This week in VIP nightclub x7, there’s a new exclusive bundle, a freebie for the ladies, and early-access to a new selection of Wrangler brand items from VEEMEE. But that’s not all—owners of the Ultimate Gold Knight collection from Heavy Water will now have permanent access to x7, just by being the honorable knights in shining armor that they are. Head to x7 this Wednesday and enjoy all the benefits of being a member of this exclusive club.
4. Lockwood – September Footwear Collection

Here’s the list of what’s new and happening in PlayStation Home.
1. Cutthroats 2.0An all-new Cutthroats: Battle for Black Powder Cove is making its way to PlayStation Home! See what’s new and get free coins by visiting the newly updated Armory, Clothing store, Game Board, Info Table and News Board.
New Armory: All Cannon balls and power ups are discounted. The addition of 4 new and unique looking weapons will require some strategy if you want to rule Black Powder Cove! All weapons have been retuned with varying ranges and damages. Be sure to visit the revised store to stock up on ammo and new power-ups, such as teleportation and mines!
Improved User Interface and expanded game play Experience: Select cannons, ammo and power-ups by using the new quick select menu. Ship damage indicators so you can see where the enemy fire is coming from. Repair your ship to keep it afloat. Communicate with everyone on your ship through Voice Chat.
Clothing Store: Check out the clothing items Male and Female pirates are wearing. Some of them even give you special power ups when you wear them while playing!
Still Free To Play: You can still play for free and collect coins to power up you ship, or purchase any upgrades through the store.

2. Digital Leisure – Space Station ApartmentThe Space Station needs a crew, and you’ve been selected to take part in an all-new out-of-this-world experience. Your Space Station adventure will have you defending your new home against incoming asteroids in the fully interactive Station Defense turret center. On top of defending the station your tasks will also include lowering and raising the external shutters so you don’t get blinded by the sun and you’ll even have to evacuate the garbage you produce in to the vacuum of space.
Also included with the Space Station are a variety of furniture, science theme props, a custom space helmet for him or her and even a UFO Sidekick to follow you all around PlayStation Home!
Your shuttle is cleared for arrival so head over to the Estates Shop in the Hub, starting tomorrow!
3. Granzella – Lagoon Update 3 + Office LadyThe cave next to the cottage leads to the Paid Excavation Site. Purchase a ticket and give it to the woman standing at the entrance in a swimsuit to gain entry.
- Super Tropical Points are available from various mini-games in the lounge.
- Collected Super Tropical Points can be exchanged with the Tropical Girl on the swing for a Home Reward.
The Fossil Museum is a gorgeous 3-story fossil exhibit personal space. You may now visit it, where your collected fossils are automatically housed in the display case.
Also, coming to the Southern Island Hideaway is an underwater swimming mini-game. Swim freely, exploring the ocean’s floor while becoming familiar with the local fish.
Introducing the Tight Office Suit series for PlayStation Home. The cool, tight silhouette gives off the impression of intelligence and sophistication. The line-up consists of 3 items, Tight Office Suit, Tight Office Skirt, Office High Heels. Any woman dressed in this sharp suit is surely ready for business with a professional attitude.

The game is set within the fractured realms of Mercia, a world torn apart eons ago and put back together by ancient Guardians who have turned to stone over Millennia. Players must quest through this world helping to maintain the balance.
This game space environment is split into a series of rooms, which when combined, make up a Dungeon. Each room is like a small Home ‘space’ with lush and detailed elements maintaining the consistency and quality across a vast area.
The Characters and WeaponsThe game offers three different warrior types: Fighter, Ranger and Defender. You gain access to all three types early in the game, starting off with the free Fighter starter pack. Improved versions are unlocked if you continue through the quests. New bows, swords, heavy weapons and shields will also be unlocked throughout the game, some purchasable through the Mercian Store and others by using gold received from completing quests; additionally, Mercian items will crop up in the Gift Machine to send to your friends!
The Oracle brings equilibrium to the world of Mercia – in one of her hands is a pot pouring water, which represents her influence flowing out into the Realms, and in the other is a green orb, symbolizing the entire world of Mercia. She is calling out to all the heroes of PlayStation Home to assist her and her fellow Guardians in maintaining the balance of Mercia.
The Oracle is also one of the major quest givers; she’ll offer you opportunities to discover and collect elements of the Mercian world, including stones and shards, which are essential for progression.
Stones are a major driving force within Mercia — they are parts of fallen stone Guardians, and are filled with their former power and energy. Players collect them during the game and can either use their magic offensively or defensively by equipping them to their ‘Stone slots’. This is another element of the game which offers deeper customisation of play style, allowing you to become a powerful hero in the world of Mercia: Fractured Realms.

Like No Man's Land, Mercia apparently isn't straying too far from its genre's blueprints. Players can choose between Ranger, Fighter, and Defender classes, and these brave avatars can fight alone or co-operatively across "visually dazzling landscapes inhabited by supernatural creatures and full of spellbinding sorcery." There's also the incentive of exclusive Home rewards in the RPG, if that's your kind of thing.

This Wednesday, August 22nd, members of nightclub x7 get the first opportunity to the Italian lifestyle with the Tuscan Villa personal space and clubhouse, plus Heavy Water expands its Avalon Keep collection with the White Knight bundles. Fans of the Internet meme Domo will be pleased as he makes his debut in Home. Finally, who doesn’t love custom animations and emotes? Konami releases some new animated B’Loons outfits, and nDreams steps up the cred with its Street Moves hip hop dancer outfits. There’s a lot to enjoy, so I’ll get right to this week’s to do list:
1. x7 Update – Tuscan Villa Personal Space and Clubhouse + VEEMEE ClothingEver wondered what it would be like living in a rustic, yet grand Italian countryside villa? Now you can. Bring some friends and share the experience with the gift of food (the Villa has a gift of pizza for guests), and lounge the evening away. Also offered is a matching furniture bundle to properly deck it out. From VEEMEE this week are some early-access clothing items. The men have a collection of High Collared Leather Jackets in an assortment of colors while the ladies get a selection of Birds Tank Tops.

You’ve seen Avalon Keep and its furniture, but now you can gear up your Avatar with the Defender’s Pack weaponry and armor sets! The Defender’s Pack, available for both men and women, come with an array of weaponry: sword, ax, chained mace, shield, knife, short mace and lance, or you may buy each individually.
There are two suits of armor: White Knight and the Exclusive Gold Knight. Each set of armor is made up of separate pieces so you can mix and match: Helmet, Breastplate, Chausses, Greaves, and Gauntlets. The Gold Knight gets an extra item: Gauntlets with Sword.
So suit up this week and really get into the Avalon spirit!

Konami updates their popular B’Loons line this week with four new outfits! Run around with a Viking, a Rockstar, and Mafia hit men, each with their own unique custom animations. Strum your guitar lazily as the Rockstar, jump and shoot your B’Loon gun as the Mafia Hit Man, or do a spinning float attack as the Viking. Check out all of the latest updates at the Konami Store!
If you haven’t picked up these cute companions, do so this week. Lockwood’s charitable initiative ends September 5th, so if you’d like to support The Red Endangered Animal Connection Trust (REACT), be sure to pick up the Rare Species Pack now. In case you haven’t heard the details, you’ll be pleased to know that for every purchase of the Rare Species Pack, $1.00 will be donated to REACT.
5. nDreams – Blueprint: Home Pack + Street MovesnDreams has a selection of awesome things this week.
When it launched three weeks ago Blueprint: Home allowed users to create their own apartment space for the very first time in PlayStation Home. The Classroom and Asylum style packs have been released in the last two weeks, giving users even more options when customizing their apartments. The community has been using their imagination to build some great apartments, including a Silent Hill-inspired maze created by AkumaPrince and mybro92’s Killzone-inspired Helghast Base of Operations.
(I just love these guys. They’re always so creative and very tight as a clan.)
To aid in even more fantastic creations this week, the Bling Style Pack is being released for Blueprint: Home. The Bling Style Pack gives you access to six new feature items to compliment your own furniture, six regal-looking interior wall options as well as new ceiling, floor and external wall options. You can pick up the Bling Style Pack and all other available Style Packs from the Blueprint Store, the Estates store or any commerce point in Aurora.
Everyone loves to dance in PlayStation Home. This week though, there are some new dance kings and queens arriving to destroy the competition. Street Moves Vol. 1 from nDreams is a collection of four full body outfits, available individually, each with their own unique street-inspired dance animation. You have B-Girl and B-Boy, who will leave everyone dazzled with their moves, and then there’s Hip-Hop Honey and Hip-Hop Hero who will bring their own attitude Home.
And you can’t dance without a little music, so you should check out the Street Moves Vol.1 Companion, your very own Boom Box that will follow you around helping to set the stage wherever you are. Check out the Street Moves crew at the nDreams store or any commerce point in Aurora.
Fans of the cute, square-ish and RAWR-y little monster Domo are in for a delightful surprise. Kung Fu Factory has introduced a nice selection of all things Domo — from Domo himself (in companion form), to hats, backpacks, shirts, and more. Head to the Mall and find it all, starting this Wednesday.
Konami answers your prayers and makes the Gothic Cathedral available as a Clubhouse. Enjoy the fireplace, large hallway, gargoyle courtyard, and moonlight balcony with your friends.
We know you love Magnus, and he’s back with all the highlights from this week’s new Mall update. You’ll find Heavy Water’s White Knight bundles, Konami’s B’Loons Gangster outfits (with custom animations), and nDreams’ Hip Hop dancing outfits.
