It's about time you upgraded that boring ol' Normal Street Fighter IV for its Super counterpart, isn't it? Amazon's current Deal of the Day will let you do so at the significantly reduced price of $25, while the retailer's Lightning Deals are marking down other titles throughout the day.

Let's face it -- once those new Super Street Fighter IV costumes come out, the game's community will be split into two age-old castes: The haves and the have-nots. How will these two groups be able to play against one another, when one sports fancy duds the likes of which the other has never seen? Capcom recently explained that players without the DLC who play against a character using a new costume will still be able to fight against said player, though it will appear as though they're wearing their default costume.

This switcheroo can be prevented by downloading a free "Catalogue" add-on, which will allow players without the DLC to see the new outfits on other players. The Catalogue will come in two chunks, the first half arriving on Oct. 26 -- the same day as the first batch of costumes -- and the second on Dec. 21. This add-on has only been announced for the 360 so far; we've contacted Capcom to see if PS3 players will have access to it as well.

Ono casually mentioned on Twitter yesterday that he was headed to Capcom USA to present "written proposal about DLC for [Super Street Fighter 4: Arcade Edition]'s PSN, XBL." That would mean two new characters, Yun and Yang, could be released for consoles, alongside possible balance alterations. For some reason, we can't imagine Capcom USA declining Ono's proposal for more Street Fighter income, so look forward to some new characters.

Capcom Japan has dated the fall line of Super Street Fighter IV apparel. In fact, it's more like the fall, winter and spring line, as the company will trickle out the DLC packs (it's been teasing) in seven 5-costume releases; beginning in late October and culminating in a discounted complete set, featuring all 35 new outfits, on April 26, 2011.

Complete details are posted after the break. (The costume packs have only been dated and priced for Japan, but the information is expected to apply to North America as well.) Oh! What about ... ?

Nope ... no sign of Yun and Yang yet.

Sorry, PC gaming Hadouken enthusiasts -- if you ever want a chance to play Capcom's updated version of the latest Street Fighter, you're going to have to do so on a console or in an arcade. In a recent interview with 4Gamer.net (via Gamasutra), producer Yoshinori Ono confirmed that while the PC version of Street Fighter IV was a big seller worldwide, the publisher has no plans to put the new and improved Super iteration on home computers due to the platform's high rate of piracy.

Ono added that a PC port is still possible, if Capcom can find a reasonable DRM solution for the title. We think there are other ways around the problem -- for instance, you could just donate some of the proceeds of the game to charity, as that might discourage oh no wait.

Here comes a new challenger! Here comes another new challenger! Straight out of TGS's Tougeki fighting game tournament, Capcom finally, officially revealed the two new characters for the arcade release of Super Street Fighter IV: Street Fighter III's Yun and Yang.

If you're excited about these new characters, you could either wait for this arcade game to hit your local game center this December (in which case, you are in Japan), or you can start saving up for the unannounced, but inevitable, DLC.

Discern no longer, friends -- series producer Yoshinori Ono recently took to the Twitters to show off some concept art for Ryu, Chun-Li, Fei Long, Cammy, Juri and Sakura's new duds. Now, we're far from fashion experts, but we can't help but take umbrage with a few of these designs. Like, Sakura? Do you know how difficult it is to perform crushing high kicks while wearing floral flip-flops? And Fei Long? It's after Labor Day, dude. Your whole situation is jacked. And Cammy? No. Don't. You can't.
