Without 17th-century religious oppression in England there'd be no American Thanksgiving, so what better way to give thanks than by Amazon delivering a "Black Friday Deals Week" for the region. Beginning November 22nd, the online retailer will dish discounts on a cornucopia of products.

The sales will be offered as "Lightning Deals," which expire once the quantity is sold out or time runs out. Items include (but are not limited to):

• Over 60% off Nintendo Wii Consoles.
• Over 60% off Microsoft Xbox 360 consoles.
• Sony TVs at half price.

Beginning next Monday, keep track of the deals by checking out Amazon.co.uk's Black Friday page or stalking the discounts on the UK BF Twitter account.
