I want my caster/DPS hybrid, Riot

His gold cards fail entirely at random. If they fix that I would be perfectly fine, but as it is now he has no reliable CC and therefore isn't much of a ganker

try playing against him as morde then

Get a Banshee's Veil or a Quicksilver Sash then
I would suggest running cleanse, but Morde needs ignite and something to make sure he catches people
