"Battlefield 3 is the true successor to Battlefield 2. Beyond our signature multiplayer, we have also included a full single-player campaign and a co-op campaign – all straight out of the box. As for fan favorite features, how does the return of jets, prone, and 64-player multiplayer (on PC) sound? All this built with our powerful new game engine Frostbite 2, which you'll hear and see a lot of in the months leading up to launch. For the full reveal on Battlefield 3, stay tuned for links to our cover stories hitting the gaming press throughout February"

"64-player multiplayer (on PC)" why is MAG the only console FPS that can do more than 32 players?

Why would you want more than 32? At some points it just gets ridiculous to play a game like that. Play a modded COD4 server with more playerslots than usual and the only thing you'll hear is GUNSHOTS EVERYWHERE and all you'll see is people dying around you. The same applies to any other game.

Battlefield is on a much larger scale than CoD. It's not 64 players crammed in a handful of alleyways. In BF2, each map came in 16, 32, and 64 player sizes. So I assume the consoles will be missing the 64 player configurations. At least my decision of which version to buy will be an easy one.

The only Battlefield I've ever played is 1943, but I'm super into it conceptually.
