Did he just say motion gaming was irrelevent , right after sony launched a huge campaign about it's "ground-breaking" motion technology, and don't tell me he's going to make fun of 3d, after the ps3 became a big supporter of it.

I think he was saying Nintendo's motion is dated; it's not "true accurate motion gaming". He may be right about the 3DS, but no self-respecting twenty-something is going to be sitting on an airplane with a PSP either.

I've seen plenty of self respecting 20-somethings playing DS everywhere, from planes to trains to automobiles.

Also with wii plus the motion does feel pretty good, and keep in mind the motion tech has widely advanced since 06'

the difference is that a phone has other uses. You can feel secure playing games on a phone/pda because the device is not just a game machine. It has legitimate grown-up usefulness too, which makes playing games on it socially acceptable.

Saying you don't feel secure playing a handheld in public is like saying you don't feel secure reading a book in public.
It's my *crag*ing leisure time and if I want to play a *crag*ing video game I'm going to. Their device is no more legitimate than mine simply because "also it is a phone." Children have phones, just as adults do. So I don't see why I can't enjoy *crag*ing Chrono Trigger out in public just because kids play games to.
We're never going to get past this shit unless gamers can *crag*ing grow a pair.
