The Gears of War 3 Beta is chock full of visceral rewards. Line up a Longshot sniper shot just right, and you're rewarded with a beautiful burst of gore. Dome-popping in Gears is so pleasing, in fact, that it's even satisfying on the receiving end. Getting your head blown off by a shotgun, Boltok pistol or rifle is sad, sure. But it's also cool to the core. Someone's face just exploded. Even if it's yours, that's still pretty amazing...
