But apparently not at my Walmart :/
Now I'm thinking I don't even want it. Why buy a new console when there is only one game to look forward to? By the time I actually want one they'll have a redesign
if you get it now you get like 20 games. also it comes with stuff to do, there's the eshop and there's ar cards which might sound like a gimmick but i actually enjoyed it. you can play old ds games too. plus it looks incredibly more sexy than all the previous dses before it
yeah the 20 games is what almost got me to bite. but, they are games I've either already played or I can just put on my GBA flash-cart so I don't feel like I'm missing out anything. The bundled software is neat, but I thought the same thing about DSi... it was interesting for a day. And DS games looks better on a DS.
Sure $170 is not much in the big scheme of things, but right now it feels like $170 wasted. I'll probably just wait for when it comes bundled with Super Mario 3D or Paper Mario.
I thought the price drop wasn't until the 12th. THAT'S WHAT I GET FOR TRUSTING WIKIPEDIA
Anyways, I'm pretty psyched. I've been saving my monies~ for months (okay, I got cash for my birthday and have been waiting for a price drop), and the reduced price is finally something I can afford! ಥ‿ಥ
No, the price cut was the 12th. Walmart just lowered their prices earlier than anybody else to get some extra sales before the Ambassador program ended.
Still waiting for some video games to be actually worth buying. I'm not really in much of a rush to preemptively spend $200 on a remake and wait for other games, no matter how good OoT is.
Oh, makes sense.
I don't mind buying the 3DS and waiting for the games I actually want to come out; after I blow my cash on that, I probably won't be able to get any games until Christmas, haha. I'm more of a game renter anyways, although I don't know if my local renting place has 3DS games...
@MM: I was kind of just going through my bookmarks, decided to do some lurking, found this topic relevant to my interests, and thought "hey, why not?". Yeah.
I think Nintendo shot themselves in the foot releasing all those rehashes. Now nobody wants to fork out the money when an actual new portable console comes out.

You'll be saying that about the 3DS when the WiiDS comes out
saw it at Target today... and I didn't buy it. You are losing your ironclad grip on me, Nintendo. FREEDOM!
