This is actually something Nintendo has to worry about all the time. They have so many long-running franchises, most of which are filled to the brim with great games. Unfortunately, that means that one or two of the titles have to be the 'bad' games in the lineup of amazing content.

Just look at Super Mario Sunshine, for example. That's definitely a fantastic game, but as far as Mario titles go, it's not considered to be one of the best. It has the label of being a 'bad' Mario game, even though it was still a fantastic outing. Poor FLUDD, you never get the respect you deserve!
