With Call a Duty Elite still struggling t' serve it be much-touted blend a stats 'n features t' the throng a Modern Warfare 3 consumers, we asked Call a Duty VP a Production Daniel Suarez t' explain the outage, what Activision 'n Beachhead Studios be doing t' fix it, 'n when we might finally be able t' see what Elite be all about. After months a hype, confusion, controversy, 'n promises, the ambitious web service has failed t' launch 'n, in so doing, has failed t' silence the skeptics.

It didn't take long t' realize Elite wouldn't hold up t' the traffic. Beachhead Studios chief Chacko Sonny posted a notice on the Call a Duty Elite status page in the early morning hours a launch day, but the game had been in consumers' hands for some time. "it be a worlwide launch for MW3 'n Elite, so we had a launch occuring Monday late afternoon with Australia 'n then everything kicking in into Europe 'n then into the East Coast in the US 'n then the West Coast," Suarez recounted. "So the launch a MW3 had been vast 'n we knew it would be vast, it just translated into a tremendous amount a traffic t' Elite. 'n we anticipated it t' be big, it just turned out t' be even bigger than that."

The problems began at the earliest stage a the process: registration. "The high demand from the console application 'n registration on the website from the PC really crippled the registration 'n login process which then translated into the backend servers being slammed," Suarez explained. "So we've been working around the clock t' alleviate access into the system 'n we've had a large number a people now able t' register. We've resolved that piece a it 'n now we be actually working on getting the service back up 'n running t' a point where poeple can then enjoy it."
