Just look at how young Kondo looks there! He's hard at work on the soundtrack for Super Mario Bros. 3 in that pic. Yes, he's writing music there that the Mario series would honor many years later with remixes and revamps. That's just one small, but amazing part of Super Mario Bros. 3's history.
