Even to this day, the Mortal Kombat movie (the first one) is still pretty fun. It's not amazing, it's nothing special, but it is fun. It even manages to capture what the games were all about, and somehow managed to do it without an R rating. How did Mortal Kombat end up being a good video game movie, and still manages to sit atop that heap?
