- Reconfirmation that Death will get his horse Despair right at the beginning of the game.
- Death will meet the Crowfather at the start of the game.
- The Crowfather resides in what is known as the Crowfather’s Temple.
- The Crowfather and the Death have history, and it seems to have ended in a bad situation for the Crowfather, causing him to be distrustful of Death.
- The Crowfather knows pretty much everything that goes on in the world. Death asks the Crowfather what really happened to War.
- Death and the Crowfather will battle early on, with Death defeating the Crowfather. - - Presumably this causes the Crowfather to tell the truth about what happened to War.
- Death wants to make sure the Apocalypse never happened. (Since the game takes place after the Apocalypse actually happened, I’m not exactly sure of the meaning of this).
- There are 2D cut-scenes between chapters that talk about the lore and history of the Darksiders series. These will give some relation between the original Darksiders and Darksiders II. The Crowfather will give an intro to the new areas during these 2D cut-scenes.
- The four main zones are the Maker’s Realm, the Dead Plains, the Angel Realm, and the Demon Realm. Each zone introduces a new ability to Death.
- You can play in a linear style or do things in different order. There are tons of sidequests. Sidequests are triggered by exploration or by interacting with NPC’s.
- The critical path is 25+ hours of gameplay.
