In an interview with Games Industry, Bing Gordon made a few comments about Nintendo and what he envisions for their future.

“when Miyamoto makes a perfect game, in his career he makes games worth $200—it’s worth buying a system for.”

He also noted that Nintendo is "primarily on track to become a software only company (...) I can imagine a day when Nintendo wonders—and maybe it’s generational change—when Nintendo wonders if they ought to take some of their best games and make them apps.”

Do you think Mr. Gordon is potentially right in his comments about Nintendo eventually going software only?

as per usual a person with little to no inside knowledge of the actual company predicts it's indefinite future, I mean haven't these guys always been spot on about nintendo's future?

I don't know who Bing Gordon is, but anyone calls games "Apps" has the brain of a 40 year old stock broker, so I'm going to bet he doesn't even know what video games are.
