GAME and EA kicked off FIFA 13 launch with premiership footballer Ryan Taylor in Newcastle
GAME blew the starting whistle on a night to remember last night, as it opened hundreds of stores at midnight for the launch of the most hotly anticipated football game of the year: FIFA 13.
Newcastle’s Metro Centre store played host to local premiership star Ryan Taylor. Ryan was at the GAME store from 8pm yesterday to sign Limited Edition Newcastle packs and display his FIFA 13 button bashing skills in front of the home crowd.
Lucky gamers at the store also had the chance to score the ‘money can’t buy’ one-on-one match against the football star as well as being amongst the first in the country to experience the new game. New game innovations include revolutionised artificial intelligence for dribbling, controlling the ball and physical play.
And if that wasn’t enough, fans also had a shot at winning prizes including a PS3 fixed pack with FIFA13 and a PS Vita + FIFA13, plus exclusive limited edition Newcastle United box art.
Customers at the Metro Centre were also entertained throughout the evening by freestyle footballer Jamie Knight who displayed his ball tricks and wowed the crowd.
Anna-Marie Mason, Marketing Director at GAME said: “We knew FIFA 13 was going to be a smash hit with fans. The features are completely revolutionary and make this installment bigger, better and more intuitive than ever before! We opened 294 GAME stores at midnight for the launch and our best GAME squads kicked off the FIFA 13 season in style.”
