Injustice: Gods Among Us, the latest fighting game based on the DC Universe characters, just hit the shelves today in North America. This gave us a great opportunity to ride back in time and see DC Comics characters featured in video games evolve from large dull pixels to realistic entities. Since these games are almost as old as the medium itself, there are plenty to choose from, both good and bad. But all are memorable. Superman (1979 - Atari 2600) Batman: The Caped Crusader (1988 - Multiplatform, the screenshot is from the C64 port) Superman (Arcade - 1988) Batman (1989 NES) The Flash (1991 - Game Boy) Batman Returns (1993 - SNES / Sega Genesis) The Death And Return Of Superman (1994 - SNES / Sega Genesis) Justice League Task Force (1995 - Sega CD, Sega Genesis) Batman & Robin (1998 - PlayStation) Batman: Gotham City Racer (2001 - PlayStation) Aquaman: Battle for Atlantis (2003 - GameCube, Xbox) Justice League Heroes (2006 - Multiplatform) Lego Batman: The Videogame (2008 - Multiplatform) Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe (2008 - PlayStation 3 / Xbox360) Batman: Arkham Asylum (2009 - Multiplatform) DC Universe Online (2011 - PC, PlayStation 3) Batman: Arkham City (2011 - Multiplatform) Injustice: Gods Amoung Us (2013 - Multiplatform) What was the most memorable video game you've played that featured DC characters? Don't forget to show them in the comments! sources: laffer35, chileanretrogamer, 19Imperial, Lemmy556, GeeKasterTom, arklon22, SwantoNNotnawS, RetroRevivalX, JosUltimate, Batman Wiki
