The core experience may not have changed much, but it's far grander in scale; players will have to hunt down dungeons in order to complete the game, and Kobayashi promises many of them are "very hard" to find. The flowers players grow in town can be used to create paint which will allow them to the change the elemental nature of their characters. Of note are the colors pink, which can only be acquired from the protagonist's daughter (pink clothing causes enemies to be charmed by that character and avoid attacking them), and gold, which can only be acquired through Street Pass (and which causes your team to acquire huge amounts of gold after battle).
According to IGN's site, the game has a tentative release date of May 2nd.
