This is part of an Official Nintendo Magazine interview with Nintendo's Hiro Yamada...

ONM: The local multiplayer was really good fun in the original game. How important was it to get it working in the 3DS version?

Hiro Yamada: We considered the local multiplayer for the Wii version - which was seen for the first time in the series - to be an important factor. As you have your own screen on the 3DS, it makes the multiplayer easier to play than the Wii in some ways and so we gave it the same degree of importance.

ONM: If Retro aren't making Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D, what are they making? Does it involve a certain bounty hunter?

Hiro Yamada: I wonder what kind of game it is? I hope to introduce it to you in the not so distant future.
