Jun. 24, 2013 - NEW YORK -- StreetPass NYC, a popular grassroots Nintendo 3DS fan club in New York City, invites all Nintendo fans in the New York Metro Area to our next "Conference of Mayors" meeting; an unofficial Animal Crossing New Leaf meetup to exchange house patterns via StreetPass, trade turnips and explore New York City's parks and social hot spots for outdoors adventuring!

Animal Crossing New Leaf mayors will have a fun time in Queens historic Flushing Meadows Park (Corona Park, Queens, New York 11368) at the base of the Unisphere (facing the museum) on Saturday, June 29th from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Places mayors plan on checking out are the New York Hall of Science "Bug Day" activities, the Queens Wildlife Center petting zoo and aviary, The Playground for All Children and the Miniature-Golf Field.

NOTE ABOUT RAIN: StreetPass NYC will attend rain or shine. The group recommends bringing an umbrella to all mayors and if it rains and you do not see anyone at the Unisphere we will be in the lobby of the New York Hall of Science (47-01 111th Street Queens, NY 11368-2950) only a block away from the Unisphere.

Bug Day at the New York Hall of Science will take place from NOON to 4:00 PM. Mayors will join members of the NY Entomology Society, a local bee keeper, and NYSCI staff to celebrate bugs! Create a ping pong ball bug catapult, design a LED-lit firefly, participate in a lady bug release, and even taste some bugs at this one-day event! Free with NYSCI admission.
