Coming from Doug TenNapel...

Okay, here's another one for the hardcore fans! I love playing Rayman Origins with my kids, but I think a 4 player EWJ would take away from the original character and experience if we're aiming for a first game as a goal. But modern gamers demand gizmos and gimmicks, so wouldn't a single player EWJ be too simple? Aren't we required to do a multi-player, 3D, complicated game? I keep thinking the first thing our fans will demand is mutli-player, and I just have no interest in that. Am I wrong? (looking for honesty, not agreement).

Definitely 2D with no 3D. Single player with no multiplayer feature to concentrate on gameplay and character. Featuring the same freak show of bad guys... with some new ones just for fun. I don't know if a blind cave salamander is coming back but there will be some obscure amphibian featured on a level. Perhaps a siren or something.

I think the real fans won't be interested in multiplayer and will be very happy to hear that the game will be 2D. I know that I am! Thanks to Matt for the heads up.
